BRAVE

I came from a rich family-Shewurzwo. I'm a prince. I am Eros Shewurzwo, a man that every girl wants. Rich, famous, and last but not least I'm handsome.

Many years ago I've met someone named Shiela. My dad and her dad are friends so we became friends too. She's not an ordinary girl, she has a supernatural trait.

She can tell if someone is in danger. She was special. It's top-secret, so they need to be here in our palace to secure their safety.

Years had passed and we thought that they are safe in the palace.

We didn't expect that the great thief in the nation was still alive. We thought that he died years ago because we did not see him for months so we concluded that he already died.

But he's back. He took Shiela away from us. We couldn't do anything to save her. Because the great thief-Alfonso has also a power, he knows how to use black magic. We can't win. We are just ordinary people, we can't save Shiela.

We looked for her. We also thought that she died, that she was killed by Alfonso. But no, I saw her. I recognized her face while we are having a parade to celebrate the palace's anniversary.

She ran away inside the Shervage forest. The Shervage forest was one of the most dangerous places in the palace. No one is allowed to enter the forest even my father-the King.

I don't know why the Shervage forest was dangerous. It never came into my mind to enter the forest, because my father told me that it was too dangerous.

But I will go, I will go to look for Shiela. I will find her no matter how dangerous it is. I will bring her back to the palace and make her my queen.

It was a tough adventure for me. I didn't bring anything that can help me with dangerous animals here in the forest.

I never knew that the forest was big. I don't know where to start. It will be hard for me to find her in this huge forest. It's almost 6:30 in the evening. I need to look for a place where I can stay until tomorrow.

I found a small cave. I will rest here until the sun rises again, so I can look for Shiela. At the moment that night came, I felt scared. I can't fight as I don't have any daggers or a sword with me.

But I need to be strong, I need to look for Shiela. I tried to sleep in the small cave, it wasn't comfortable but I still manage to sleep.

I woke up when I felt that someone is grabbing my neck. I opened my eyes and I saw Alfonso in front of me. He's not using his hand but he was using his black magic to grab my neck.

I can't breathe. I looked at him and I saw that there's a girl behind him, it was Shiela. She's wearing a black cape, I looked at her and I realized one thing. She can't remember anything. The way she looked at me was really different. It seems like she doesn't know me.

"What will you do to him, papa?" she asked Alfonso as if she doesn't care if Alfonso's going to kill me or not. I don't see any emotion from her eyes. She even called Alfonso 'papa'. Now I realized why Alfonso took Shiela away from us. Because he wants Shiela to be his toy, to be his experiment.

I looked at Shiela's eyes hoping that she remembers me, but she just stared at me blankly.

"We will take him as our hostage. We will use him to get the palace. He's the key." I can't breathe anymore, and that's the last thing I heard from Alfonso. He's going to use me to get the palace, I won't let that happen.

I woke up and I looked around and then I realized that Alfonso wants to use me to get the palace from us, from my father.

I heard that the door opened and I saw Shiela walking towards me while holding a tray of foods.

"If you think that you can escape from this place then you better stop that idea. My papa will just kill you if you do that. He wants the whole nation, and I will help him because he is my father." After that, she put the tray on the table and she immediately went out.

Days had passed and they're still planning how to get the palace. Every day, Shiela is bringing me food and before she leaves I will beg her hoping that she remembers me and I will end up getting hurt. She will say that she doesn't know me. That I should stop saying nonsense.

One day, I'm waiting for Shiela to arrive but instead of her, Alfonso came in. He grabbed my neck and he threw me on the wall. I can't move my body, I can feel my body aching.

"Stop asking her to remember you. She will never remember you because she's under my spell, asshole." He grabbed me again and he punches me until he gets tired of beating me. After that, he left me and Shiela went in.

"He knows everything you do. You better stop begging, because I don't know you. Let me help you with your bruises." She held my face and started to put ice on my face. I looked at her as my tears rolled down on my cheeks.

She looks so shocked when she saw me crying. I held her hand,

"If I can't save the palace, then please let me save the girl that I loved."

I let go of her hand. I asked her to look at me, I kissed her slowly,

"Please, Shiela, remember me."

I kissed her passionately and I saw how her necklace glows and how it breaks itself.

"E-Eros," S-She remembered. She hugged me and we planned how to escape from Alfonso. She will act as if nothing happened, and she will tell Alfonso that she wants to play with me. That she wants me to be her toy.

I woke up because of Shiela's voice.

"Let's go. We're going home."

She helped me to stand up and she asked their helpers to lift me. We went to the middle part of the forest. She told those helpers to leave us alone so she can practice her ability.

After an hour, we decided to leave the forest but before we reached the exit, Alfonso attacked us.

He used his black magic to separate us. He threw me on a tree and it hurts so much. I'm not yet recovered the last time he beats me.

I can't stand anymore. I looked at Shiela fighting Alfonso using her own skills to save me. I saw how hard it is for her to fight a powerful thief.

Alfonso grabbed her in her neck,

"How dare you leave me when I was the ine who helped you to discover your power?!" he said and he punched Shiela.

"You want to use me for your evil plans! You want to use me to destroy my own nation!"

I saw how angry Shiela was. I was shocked when I saw her floating and she was glowing like she's a fairy. She attacked Alfonso until Alfonso died in her own hands.

She fell from the ground and she's now unconscious.
I went to her and I saw that she's bleeding too much. I held her hand trying to wake her up, "Shiela, wake up. Please, wake up."

She's no longer breathing. I tried to save her, I tried to wake her up but I'm also tired. I lay beside her and tears are keep rolling down on my cheeks. I hugged her, and I heard the footsteps of the palace's horses.

I whispered something before my vision went black.

'They will save us, my Queen. Please, wait.'

Shiela Aranda, she's the person I loved, brave enough to stand on her own. She saved me, she did everything to save me and yes, I survived but she isn't. She died. We failed to protect her.
