When living in a world that's so hateful
You cannot choose right from wrong
A place where judgement is based on the complexion of your pigment or sexuality
You can smell the hate like an aroma
All these empty faces in your embrace
but you would rather face the cousin of sleep, than be who you are.
Locked up in a cell that is in your lips
nothing can be done till you say the word
You say you hate me but you think you know me!
I think I have had enough, but no!
It's never enough till you know
You say," I love all my brothers and sisters"
but what happened to me????
We are one , we breathe the same air
no, don't lock me out, am I not only human?
I can turn it on, just the way you like
I am all smiles and faces, just like you taught me
I think I see it now, the truth is blurry no more
I'll get up and dance to your tune
I'll play the role that you are so good at
I'll be what or who you want
But that is not a promise, if only you could see me
Don't make me change.
