There were no words to describe the taste of Perseus Jackson or atleast, none that Nico knew. Nico's best guess was blueberries and saltwater or something along those lines. Nico hated when Percy was gone (not that Nico would ever admit it) , that meant that Nico would have to find a substitute until his boyfriend returned.
Digging through the almost empty fridge, Nico sighed not seeing any blueberries. Giving up he unceremoniously flopped down on the couch. Jumping out of his skin when he heard a low groan sounding like- he glared at the figure now under him.- "Percy" he seethed glaring at the sea prince, Percy just grinned lazily at the ghost king, moving his arms to wrap around his waist.
" Hey " he said still grinning "Percy, you weren't supposed to be home for a couple more weeks!" Nico said trying to contain the happiness in his voice until, he realized that potentially meant something terribly wrong happened, Nico back tracked. " Are you okay?! Did something happen? Are you hurt?!" He asked frantically not even attempting to hide the worry in his voice. Percy laughed "babe-" Nico interrupted "Don't call me that!" " Nico, calm down, everythings fine, we just finished early, I'm okay" Percy answered his worrying boyfriend.
Nico, now slightly overwhelmed with emotions hugged his boyfriend nuzzling his head into the crook of Percy's neck "Nico?" Percy questioned his tone one of worry and confusion, "shut up your ruining the moment" Nico muttered, Percy giggled hugging Nico back, when Nico pulled away he smiled at Percy it wasn't a large smile or anything grin like it was just a smile. A smile Percy wouldn't ever get tired of seeing, except for right now when he'd much rather see his adorable boyfriend get that little angry pout.
Grinning at his idea the sea prince leaned up capturing his boyfriend's lips smiling throughout the kiss. When Percy pulled away he'd smirked feeling triumphant because he'd gotten the reaction he'd wanted, Nico was now sporting an angry pout and blush "what the hell was that for?!" He exclaimed feeling his cheeks turning an even darker shade of red Percy just smiled cooing at Nico. Nico grumbled something and smashed their lips together again, Percy to say the least was baffled, Nico never initiated anything. Percy now feeling the need to reclaim some kind of normality poked his tounge out to trace Nico's bottom lip and ask for entrance but, as soon as his mouth was open even just slightly Nico's tounge had darted into his mouth, savouring the taste of Blueberries and saltwater.
Nico pulled away first, finally getting his fill of the bittersweet taste that he loved so much. Percy still dumbfounded and awestruck managed out a breathy ' I love you' to which Nico replied with a sweet 'ti amo' before laying on the couch and snuggling up to his boyfriend and eventually falling asleep like that, curled up to Percy listening to the sound of his heartbeat like a lullaby.
