Part 14 : Thief

In the room with that boring interior design, sit six adults at their respective tables. Not much they did in the last few hours. Just working on a news report on their computer and occasionally throwing jokes at each other.

"Oh, it's past 12 o'clock," out of nowhere suddenly Jackson mumbled, but he sounded like making sure that his murmurs were heard by everyone in that room.

"Isn't it time for lunch?" Knowing where the direction of conversation Jackson made, Mingyu responded.

"Ugh, I'm so hungry" Dahyun participated in their game. Jackson gave a meaningful wink to her.

"I understand, let's go to lunch. Real men will always keep their promises," said Seojoon.Yes, Seojoon has promised to pay a meal today to celebrate a little of the success of their case.

"O yeaah!" said Dahyun and Jackson together while high fiving.
It easily happened cause they sat next to each other. Jungkook and Namjoon who sat in front of them just smiled at the behavior of their coworkers.

The six policemen arrived at a Chinese restaurant selling jajangmyeon. They sat at one table."I thought we were going to eat special food, turns out it was only jajangmyeon," said Mingyu dissapointed.

"Stop talking before you try this  restaurant. Jajangmyeon here is the best jajangmyeon in Seoul, maybe even in Korea" Jackson said to Mingyu.

"Yes, that's right, this is God's menu!" said Namjoon.

"Wow, I can't wait," Dahyun said while clapping like a seal.

Not long after, their order arrived. Six plates of thick noodles with a pour of black sauce and a few thin pieces of cucumber on top, not forgetting a sprinkling of sesame seeds. Each plate has a large enough portion. And the most important side dish is bright yellow pickled radish. The smell of the food is very tempting.

"Do you want me to get a fork Mingyu oppa?" Dahyun asked. Because Mingyu's right hand was wrapped in a cast, Dahyun thought it would be very difficult to use chopsticks with his left hand.

"There's no need dahyunnie, I'm a left-handed user," said Mingyu and then was nodded by Dahyun with his mouth forming o letter a sign that she just found out about it.

The six of them eat so well. Mingyu, Dahyun and Jungkook admit what their sunbaenim said while ago, that this jajangmyeon is really good. Understandably, the trio is not a native of Seoul so they do not know yet well places to eat.

"You're right hyung, jajangmyeon here is very tasty. It truly deserves to be called God's menu," said Jungkook to Namjoon.

They both, together with Mingyu, Jackson and Dahyun are now waiting for Seojoon who is paying the bills. They stood in front of the restaurant, chatting about small things. Until they were startled by a man who ran fast past them. In fact, that person almost grazed Jungkook's shoulder.

"Thief!" shouted restaurant employees who came out of the restaurant together with Seojoon.

"What are you doing? Let's chase!" said Seojoon who had preceded the five people who were speechless stunned.
Without thinking, the five people immediately scattered after the thief.

"That dude is very good at running!" said Namjoon.
That's right, the thief ran very fast. And it seems that he really understands the area. Seoul area where there are small alleys and branches make it difficult for the six detectives to chase a thief who quick and cleverly changes direction.
Even though Jungkook, Jackson, and Mingyu are fast runners they cannot catch up with the thief. While Dahyun, Seojoon and Namjoon lost track. The three of them stopped at the T-junction.

"We split up, I'm straight" Said Seojoon then continued his pursuit

"Left and right!" Dahyun said while showing his finger to himself then Namjoon.

Luck doesn't seem to be on the side of a thief anymore. That skinny and messy-looking man made mistake by turning in a dead end alley. When turning around, there were Jungkook, Mingyu and Jackson already blocking him. Even so, the thief was really an agile person. He managed to easily pass the three young men.

"Sh * t!" said Jackson.

The thief almost ran away again but then he was surprised by the arrival of Seojoon, Namjoon, and Dahyun. And now he is surrounded by 6 policemen in a 4-branched alley.

"What are you doing? Quickly turn yourself in! Sit down and raise your hand!" said Seojoon to the thief.

The thief did not heed the words of Seojoon, he stared one by one the faces of the people around him. Then he ran towards Dahyun. Dahyun who saw the thief ran fast towards her immediately prepared herself. Dahyun quickly spun around and swing her legs high, and bam! The thief is bounced off by the kick on his right head. Immediately, the thief was arrested and handcuffed by Mingyu and Jungkook.

"I know how you think! Even though I'm the only one who isn't a male, don't take me easy!" Dahyun said proudly.

"Good job dahyunnie!" Seojoon said as he ruffled her hair.

Seojoon is now facing the thief. he interrogated the man. Even though fifteen minutes of interrogation had taken place, it seemed that the thief remained in his stance not to answer any of Seojoon's questions. Even just his name. He just looked down.

"Hey, look at the person who is asking you to talk! Silence will not make you free," said Namjoon.

Namjoon grabbed the thief's hair and made him raise his head. For some reason now the face of the thief looks a little different. His eyes turned red and his pupils enlarged. Sweat pouring from his forehead. The handcuffed thief's hand seemed to shake. He glared at Seojoon. Seeing that, Seojoon immediately knew what was happening.

"Joon, roll his sleeve!" Said Seojoon to Namjoon.

After done the order, Namjoon knows what Seojoon's hypothesis is. The man's arm displayed a lot of injection marks. Both left and right arms.

"Looks like he's a drug user," said Dahyun

"We will make sure by doing an urine test. Force him, if necessary, give him plenty to drink so he wants to pee," said Seojoon

"Looks like this case won't end just as a theft, don't you think so?" said Mingyu

Jungkook nodding.
