i walked into the gym by myself listening to my favorite song . ( whats your favorite song ? ) I walk in and stop dead in my tracks shocked . Some guy just hit hinata and kageyama's fast attack perfectly to where the setter would be .

he stood up while grabbing his jacket off the floor and swung it over his shoulders . I shake my head and my way to the bleachers and set my stuff down . ' he must have just been in the right place at the right time ' . i grab my notebook and pen and get ready to take notes .

" Are you shorter than me ? " hinata asks . The guy gets angry and starts yelling hinata . " HEY YOU HAD BETTER WATCH WHAT YOU SAY TO ME !!! " i let a small smile fall in my face before i force it back down into a frown . " whoa i am so sorry! " hinata tries to apologize . " um anyway i just wanted to know how tall you are ... " hinata says sheepishly . I shake my head and open to a new page .

i leave the name part blank as well as the year , role , and strongest positions . The guy points at himself with confidence . " im 5'2 that good enough for you ? " i write it down in the height box . ' i wonder if he can jump ' i tune back into there conversation .

" somebody other than y/n_chan to look down at ! " i toss pen and it connects with the side of hinata's head . " ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME YOU DONT HAVE TO LOOK THAT FAR DOWN !!! " they guy yells . i grab another pen and look back at the guys . hinata holds the place where i hit him and looks at me with teary eyes while the guy yells at him .

' no my child dont look at me like that ! T-T ' i look away till i hear the door open again .

" Hey long time no see nishinoya ! " i write the name down as tanaka says it . ' nishinoya huh ? wonder what he does ... ' . " hey tanaka long time no see " his voice is friendly they must know each other . i watch silently as all the second and third years greet him fondly .

' hum so hes been here before so he's either a second year or third year . ' " oh yeah you guys haven't meet yet . " i listen in for valuable information . " this is nishinoya . Hes a second year . " sugawara introduces . i write that down . " nice to meet you first years . " i tune out and begin guessing his role .

' so hes a second year and he did pretty good hitting that ball from the two wonder twins so im guessing hes a back row player and cant jump but theirs also a chance that hes a setter but kageyama and sugawara wouldn't take to kindly to more competition . ' i look up at the guy still talking . ' who is he and where did he come from ? '

" what school did you come from ? " i piped in at this question . He shot his fist in the air and happily shouted " chidoriama ! " i quickly wrote that down in the middle school box . " thats a good school why did you come here ? Is it because you heard coach ukai was coming back ? " he suddenly turned serious . i sat up ready to write down all the information needed .

" not really ... i wanted to come back because ... well ... karasuno school uniforms for female students are the hottest . " i stare blankly at nishinoya . ' t-t...thats his reasoning ?! THAT PERVERT ! ' i write in big bold letters under why he came here . ' Pervert ! ' i tune out of the conversation . ' how am i gonna survive this year ? ' i silently cry . 'at least they haven't noticed me yet ... '

I saw my best friend walk in . ' oh no ! ' i was next to her faster then anyone . "kiyoko ! theirs a weirdo here ! " i grab her arm and look up at her . " Dont worrie ill protect you !!! " i whisper to her .

" OH MY GOSH ITS KIYOKO !!! " he screamed while running towards her i waited till he dived for her before i pulled her behind me and he went flying outside . I closed the doors and pushed kiyoko next to kageyama while i stood in front of her with my arms crossed and a frown on my face .

He came back in calmly and glanced at me . I glared at him . A scary aura around me . He sweatdroped . "so wheres asahi ? " i listen in and get ready to make brain notes to put into my notebook later . " is he back yet ? " i glare at the floor . ' back ? he was here before ? ' i feel kiyoko slip form the group and walk towards where i left my things . ' that weirdo ... '

everyone stayed silent . " Tsk ! That coward ! " he yelled . ' he seems genuinely hurt . Where they close ?'  " Hey noya show some respect for your upperclassman ! " tanaka scolded . " oh shut up hes a scared little crybaby and you know it ! If asahi isn't coming back then neither am i ! " and with that he turned to walk out .

the others called for him . I walked with the rest of the guys while hinata was talking to him . " hey so your a libera right ? You specialize in defense ? " The guy stop to listen i decide to also stop and make mental notes in my head . he corrects him in how to pronounce his name and takes a seat . " why do you think im a libera ? Because im short ? " i frown . ' libera or not ? make up your mind ! ' " huh ? of course not its because your good at receives . thats the right fit for the libera position . " '' true '' i mumble .

" because solid receives are the back bone of the defense right ? " i grab my chest . ' he does listen to what i tell him ! ' " look at you . you really know your stiff huh ? " nishinoya states with a smirk . " The captain says your the guardian of karasuno or something like that ! " nishinoya gets all flustered . I let a smirk come across my features . " Guardian ! Where did that come from ?! Its not like im that big of a deal ! Its kinda embarrassing actually ! " it was silent for a few seconds before he spoke again .

" He really said that ? " nishinoya mumbled . hinata nodded his head and hummed . " does the captain really think thats enough to make me come back ? i mean hes not wrong but - daym it asahi thats not fair ! " there was silence again . " i still really suck at receiving . " hinata begin . I let out a sigh here we go ... " i mean its kinda the most important part of the game . could you teach me ? noya - i mean Mr. Upperclassman ! " nishinoya dramatically gasped . " look ... after practice im gonna treat you to some ice cream ... " i frown and silently cry . ' iiiiccceeecccrreeeaaammm !!!! '

" im your upperclassman " nishinoya continued . " and thats what upperclassman do ! " i facepalm . ' well at least it worked . ' Hinata made a happy sound . " does that mean ! " Hinata trailed off . " it doesn't mean im coming back to volleyball club ! " Nishinoya stated seriously . " im just gonna teach you how to do receives thats all ! " Nishinoya continued .

hinata thanked him many times . ' so is he a libera or not -_-* ' i frowned and made my way back to my snacks .

time skip

i packed up my stuff and waited for the guys to leave so i could lock the doors. " no like this . " in turn my attention to Nishinoya. " swoosh swish and bam " i sweat drop  . " got it ? " all the guys looked at him then tilted there heads with a huh ? " i told you people who act on instinct really suck at putting things into words . " tanaka stated with his hands on his hips . " i dont know im pretty sure i understood what he meant . " Kageyama said to tanaka . " yeah thats cause your the same way ! its all sound effects ! " i shake my head as they continue to argue . I poke a whole into a juice box and begin to sip from it .

i end up zoning out . ' so its obvious that hes a libera , so whats his problem with this asahi person are the friends ? family ? ' being loss in my train of thought i didn't notice the ball flying straight for me . I close my eyes when i noticed it to late and waited for impact . ' this is it WHAT A WORLD WHAT A WWWOOORRlllldddd ' BANG i peek my eyes open and see Nishinoya had caught the ball with one hand .

He looks and me and tilts his head . " you're that girl from earlier . " i frown . " wait a second ... " he looks me up and down . I blush lightly . " are you ... shorter then me ?! " my eyes widen . " awe sortie how cute ! " he bends down dramatically even though i wasnt the shorter . My hand connects with the back of his head as my face was a bright red . I toss the key to tanaka . " im going home . im pretty sure kiyoko is waiting for me . " i turn around to Nishinoya . " and you " i point at him and glare .
