Chapter 5

The next day Beca and Chloe arrived at the studio lot that had been booked for Beca's album cover shoot. Their fingers intertwined, Chloe felt a little bit better after the talk they had had yesterday when Beca picked her up from college. The redhead knew that any plans of moving home and settling down couldn't happen until she had graduated for college at the end of this year, but was glad that she had finally expressed some of her concerns to Beca.

"Beca, there you are", Alica's voice instantly made Chloe tense and she felt her grip around Beca's hand tighten as they entered the studio to find the blonde marching straight for them, "Oh, Chloe... you're here", Chloe didn't miss the way that her girlfriend's manager's eyes slowly looked her up and down before focusing back on Beca.

"Sorry, we stopped for breakfast on the way", Beca winked over at Chloe before feeling her arm being tugged away from her redhead.

"You're late, we need to get you changed for the shoot", Alicia kept a firm grip on Beca's bicep, looking over her shoulder to discreetly glare in Chloe's direction before spinning back around and continuing to drag Beca to the changing rooms.

"Will you chill out? I'm only ten minutes late, it isn't a big deal", the brunette ripped her arm away once they got to the changing room, immediately seeing a couple of people waiting with her outfit and to do her hair and makeup.

"Whatever, just hurry up and get changed", Alicia rolled her eyes, still annoyed that Beca had brought Chloe along to the photo shoot without telling her as she left the singer to get ready.

Meanwhile, Chloe had found somewhere to sit off to the side of where the shoot had been set up but in a perfect place that would allow her to watch Beca work. When she looked back over to where her girlfriend had been taken from her and saw Alicia making her way towards her again, she rolled her eyes. The redhead knew that Beca's manager doesn't like her, whether it's because it meant that Beca didn't spend every minute awake working or if it was because the blonde wanted Beca for herself, she didn't know but ultimately didn't care either.

"Why are you here? We have a lot of work to do", Alicia crossed her arms as she stood in front of Chloe, her eyes raking over the college student's outfit once more.

"Beca invited me, she said that she wanted me to come with her", Chloe shot her a sickly sweet smile, smirking when she watched Alicia roll her eyes back at her.

"Just don't get in the way, this year is a make or break year for Beca and if you know what's good for you you'll let her have the time in the spotlight alone", the blonde sneered.

"You mean let you be on her arm instead of me?", Chloe noticed the red mist come over Alicia's eyes then when she challenged her. Looking over her shoulder she spotted Beca leaving the dressing room, shrugging the black leather jacket over her shoulders, before running her hand through her hair that was left down and wavy.

"Just stay out of the way", Alicia grumbled again, smirking to herself as she walked away once Beca had made it to where Chloe was sitting.

"So..", Beca held her arms out to her sides, smiling, "How do I look?"

"You look amazing, you know what the leather jacket does to me", Chloe bit down on her lower lip, reaching in front to pull Beca closer to her by her jacket. Not normally the one to mark her territory, instead leaving that kind of behaviour to Beca whenever they had been out in public and guys didn't seem to know what 'I have a girlfriend' means, the redhead couldn't help but glance over Beca's shoulder to where Alicia was obviously watching them.

"You alright?", Beca's voice brought Chloe's focus back to her girlfriend standing in front of her, her hands still gripping tightly to the leather jacket.
