TW // SUICIDE

it was the next day, the day right after your birthday. it was a monday. you woke up at 6:00am and walked down the stairs. usually you would smell the fresh scent of waffles or eggs. or saw some cereal prepared and a note saying that shoto and rei will be dropping you off to school because of work. but there was nothing, no scent of waffles, or any food. there was no note or cereal.

"maybe shes still asleep!" you thought to yourself.

you go back up the stairs and knock on your moms bedroom door. no answer. you slowly creaked the door open. you saw your mother. not in bed, but hung over a chair with a rope around her neck. you of course didn't understand at first. you went up to her and she was pale and you climbed the chair poked her cheek.

"mommy?"

you poked it again.

"mommy?!"

you got off the chair and turned on the light and forced her eye open.

"MOMMY!" you finally figured out she wasn't gonna respond, because she was dead. your mom was dead! both of your parents are gone! they left you alone. alone in a scary world.

you start bawling your eyes out.

after 15 minutes of crying you head to shotos house for comfort and help. you ran as fast as you can, your tears still escaping from your eyes, and dried ones on your face.

you make it to shoto's house and knock on the door.

there was a yawn then loud, strong footsteps. but not stomping.

the door opened and shoto's father looked at you. the one and only endeavor.

"huh? oh its you y/n-chan. why are you here at such a time?"

"hi todoroki-san. u-u-um, i think my moms dead..."

"huh? you think?"

"yea..."

"well i cant help you kid, sorry."

you stood there in defeat. then you heard quick, and lighter footsteps. and you knew exactly who it was.

"dad! don't be so rude she's just small girl."

and she knew well who you were too.

"sorry about that y/n-chan!"

"i-i-its okay!"

it was shotos older sister, fuyumi todoroki. she was 12, but she was very mature for her age.

"can you please show me to your mom?" she said in a comforting tone.

"okay!" you obey.

you lead fuyumi to your mother. and she opens the door. she inspects the body.

"im so sorry y/n-chan!"

your tears start to form again, sadness overcomes your heart.

wow.

your parents really left you alone in this world.

your grandparents live in a prefecture, far away. your dads siblings live in the US. your mom was an only child. you had nobody to take you in.

rei took you to a police station.

there was silence. just sniffles here and there, the car shifting, the blinker, and the engine. there was also:

"here take some tissues."

"it's gonna be okay"

"don't worry"

"everything's fine"

from rei.

you two walked out of the car, into the station. rei was talking to the officer. rei slipped something out of her pocket. you weren't really paying attention to any of what they were saying. before you knew it, rei dropped you off at a foster-care place.

four years later

you were now nine. you've spent four years in a foster-care place with nobody adopting you.

you still dearly miss your only bestfriend, shoto. you haven't gotten in contact with the todoroki family ever since your mothers suicide. there was no note. just her dead, lifeless and pale body. but even though there was no note you still knew how much your mother loved you based on her actions, and will always will. dead or alive.

in honor of that you held onto the picture of your mom and dads wedding. it seemed the most important to you back then. how beautiful your mom looked, and how handsome your old man was.

"y/n-sama!" the caretaker called you.

you walked over to where their voice led you to.

"y/n-sama, this is mitsuki bakugo. she wants to take care of you as her child."

"hi! bakugo-san, I'm excited to be with you from now on!"

"oh no, you can call me mom from now on" she gave me a sweet smile.

"oh okay...mom" you said, shyly.

mitsuki blushed as you called her mom. she signed some papers and took you back to her house.

it was awkward and new but you knew you had to get used to her.

we pulled up to my foster mothers home, the house was actually pretty nice and cleaned up.

"just so you know we've got a pretty roudy and hardcore kid in there. you'll catch on quickly." mom warns.

"o-o-okay,"

we walk out to car and enter the house. there was a ash-blond haired boy who looked the same age as i am, and a brown-haired man. i assume the dad. i can already tell the blondie has way more guts than his dad. just by how hard he was gripping the glass of water in his hand.

"haaah? who's that?"
