In one of the aligned rooms, some levels below, were a group of people in neutral clothing just casually standing around, engaging themselves in small talk. Room B had no furniture or decorations of any sort. It was a spacey room with beige and cream walls.

The people looked basic in their simple and monochromatic attires. However, that's not what stood out about this room. It was how you could see the kindness and genuineness radiating in soft waves from these people, shining from their eyes and beaming from their smiles.

They held watering cans and stood around. A bunch of this people were at the window, watering the branch of the tree that was level with their floor. As they did so, they spoke encouraging words to the tree. They tenderly touched the leaves and spoke life to the branches.

This is the positive energy in your life, the 'give' in the give-and-take situation surrounding your tree. Support and encouragement may not come in the loudest or flashiest form but its importance should never be underestimated.

No one is obligated to support that 'crazy' dream of yours or to stand by you through the highs and lows so when people do, acknowledge it, appreciate them and be grateful.

The quality of Room B is very important. Getting a "Great job" or "Well done!" is great but I hope we can agree that at other times, you want or need more than that. You would need an "I believe in you and I know you can do this",  "Don't give up now, you're almost there" or "I'm so proud of you for how far you've come" at other times to keep you going.

The constant supply of water and care given to your tree is the reason your tree seems to lose no life albeit the people some floors above are sawing away at it. This is why you need more people in this room and less in Room A.

If Room A is greater than Room B in quality or quantity, your tree dies. The speed at which it dies depends on the difference between these rooms and your will. On the other hand, if B is greater than A, your tree will thrive!

I believe that there is an intersection of people between rooms A and B, the people who travel between the two rooms make up your critical support system and are vital for your growth. You can count on these people to provide you with genuine support, honesty and constructive criticism. It is necessary to develop and value this support system.
