TIME, A CONCEPT
every demigod is acquainted with. Something most demigods have little of, whether it's just doing a normal activity or rather time within their lives. Nico di Angelo was very well a nemesis of times: escaping death countless times; getting around by shadow travel; sleeping in a death trance so it would pass slower- buy his friends more time.

More time, something most demigods wished they had. More time. Nico wished he could've had more time with his mother, with Bianca. But alas, it seemed like the fates hated him. And he was definitely starting to think that, until... until he met Will Solace. A ray of pure sunshine, that boy. Nico's ray of sunshine. And Nico's sunshine would he forever stay.

His eyelids flickered open, body slowly rising up into a sitting position. Panting. His ears filled with the sound of quiet panting. Trying to find the source of the noise in a somewhat disoriented state was difficult, until he realised he was making the insufferable noise. Though there was one person who didn't seem to hear it, standing with their back to him at the door. Clearly they'd been waiting for him to wake though, in a moment of disappointment and despair, they'd gotten up and decided to leave. And then they uttered a sentence.

"I know I've said this before but... I need you to wake up."

Will.

His quiet panting halted, face overcome with a sweet and thin smile- it caressed his lips like a one blooming flower would caress a plain lot of grass. Standing out on his pale face.

"Turn around you dork."

It came out quicker than he expected, and with a lot more of an amused tone, though it seemed to do the trick. And in the humbleness that is honesty, he hadn't even been thinking when the words had slipped from his throat.

"Nico!"

The words rang through his ears, a grin still settled across his features.

"Hi, Will," he croaked out, dark chocolate hues flickering over the boy's face. Will rushed over, a look fo such relief painted delicately on his face. Though soon everything began to settle in the pit of his stomach, he didn't know anything to do with why he was here. Nico's smile dropped immediately.

"Wha-what happened? Where-" he tried to calm himself, but soon his vision was blurry with tears and confusion- he didn't know what had happened, or where he was and it was making him panic; making the situation worse.

"Nico... it's okay, breathe, it's okay." And suddenly, he was wrapped up in a pair of strong arms- practically collapsing into the embrace. He knew it was Will just from the eruption of skeletal butterflies resurrecting in the pit of his stomach. "You scared the Hades out of me, you idiot!" Will exclaimed, tightening his- already extremely strong- grip on Nico.

"What happened, Will?" He questioned quietly, wanting to say more- but the words were stuck in his throat. Smaller frame up against his boyfriend's, he found himself hugging the son of Apollo back.

"You're an idiot, that's what happened," Will replied with a defiant huff, yet Nico could feel the older boy smiling against his shoulder. "You went and over exhausted yourself, again! You were out for three days, Nico. You-you really scared me."

Guilt swirled around like a tornado in Nico's stomach, eyes fluttering down to the floor as he pulled out of the hug. "I'm sorry ..." it was quiet, barley above a whisper.

"You don't have to-"

The door slammed open and, just out of the corner of his eyes, Nico spotted a head full of golden brown curls.

"Nico di Angelo!" Hazel yelled, marching forward and tackling her older brother in an unexpected embrace. "You scared us so badly!"

In spite of himself, a laugh slipped from Nico's lips. "Sorry, Hazel," he murmured, hugging the girl back and placing a soft kiss on her cheek. Of course he was comfortable with hugging and kissing his little sister. He then glanced up, spotting all of his friends gathered in the room. "Hey..." his voice trailed off as his arms unwrapped themselves from around Hazel- since the girl had released him of her death-bringing grip.

"Hey, man," Percy replied, offering a small smile that Nico slowly returned.

"I'm sorry for scaring you all, I didn't mean to..." unbeknownst to him, Nico's gaze subconsciously trailed over to Will, meeting the boy's enchanting blue eyes.

"You don't have to- you don't need to apologise, Nico," Jason answered, cocking his head to the side slightly. "We understand, promise."

Nico just nodded, a little unsettled by the 'Promise.' He'd never had the best experiences when it came to promises. The only person he ever really trusted promises coming from was Will, and it certainly wasn't his boyfriend who had spoken. It was awkwardly silent for awhile, until Nico was yet again wrapped up into a pair of arms. Dark brown hair was tickling his arms so, in conclusion, he guessed it was Reyna.

"Reyna?" He muttered in question, receiving only a silent nod. At that, his arms wrapped around the older girl and he hugged another one of his sisters- well, she wasn't his blood relative, but she was dam well his sister in everything else.

Breaking the hug, Reyna calmly walked back to The Seven- excluding Leo. He was still missing, but at least they knew he was alive. Speaking of Leo...

"Has there been any news concerning Leo while I've been out?" di Angelo wondered, surprisingly soft black locks falling in front of his midnight hues. They all shook their heads with dejected sighs, a few- like Piper and Hazel- biting down on their lips in a feat to refrain themselves from crying out. At least they knew he was alive, though it wasn't much because he could easily die once again without their knowledge, but at least they knew he was alive.

The conversation seemed to have swayed from its original subject of Nico, and said boy preferred it that way. It was a lot easier than talking about himself, which he seemed to thoroughly despise. A sort of silence soon seemed to settle over the room, making Nico's social awkwardness increase.

It lasted for a few more minutes, leading them up and into the new discussion that was about to break out between Will Solace, Nico di Angelo and Hazel Levesque.
