ZEPHANIAHwatched as his mom and dad talked.
'why does daddy look so confused?'
'eh, doesn't matter to me, i just want their attention'
'maybe i should cry, that always gets daddy's and miami's attention'
'i think daddy doesn't think i know that miami isn't my mommy'
'i don't like miami that much, she never pays attention to me'
'i'll let them finish talking and then i'll cry'
GOLDEN listened to amira's words, she seemed like she was on the verge of tears.
"golden, give me a month with you,i just need to have you in my life one last time." amira said as she sniffled.
"amira,i still love you myself, and you and zeph will always have my whole heart, but, im with miami now." golden said and immediately regretted saying it.
"golden, one last time, and i promise after that i'll let you go!" amira raised her voice, golden sighed and put his head in his hands.
"fine, one month, that's it" golden gave in.
"thank you, goldie!" amira said tackling golden with a hug, golden was surprised but smiled and hugged back.
out of nowhere, zephaniah bursted into tears, amira walked over to him and picked him up. golden admired how much she loved their kid. he found it kind of attractive when she cleaned and took care of zephaniah.
once he calmed down, amira put him down, golden took his hand and the two made their way out.
"hey.... i would talk to miami, about this, i know she doesn't really like me.... or zephaniah, but, don't treat her like you did to me, communication is key, golden." amira said as she bagged her things.
"y'know, i never said sorry for jumping to conclusions." golden started then an idea popped into his head "i'll be here when you get home, my mom is in town i'll drop zephaniah off with her, okay?" golden added amira shrugged her shoulders and holden came over to her.
he pulled her into hug. when they pulled apart amira looked up at golden and into his eyes, they slowly leaned in. the two were close to kissing until amira turned her face, causing him to kiss her cheek.
"not so fast, talk to miami, i've got to talk to mykel before i get home." amira said cupping golden's face with her hands.
"if he tries anything i'll kill him" golden mumbled to himself.
"what was that?" amira questioned.
"nothing, gotta go, bye." golden said rushing out of the door with zephaniah.
