Estellas pov:
I get dressed with help getting cinched into my corset. I feel like I couldn't breathe when the maid started to pull really tight. I asked her to tie it off and leave it at that. She did as she was told and left the room. I sit down at my vanity to brush my long blonde hair, I start to think about the events of last night, I zone out of what I am doing due to me being exhausted. I realize I that I stop brushing and I finish up. I add different pieces of jewelry to me and put my slippers on. I open my door with my head high and strut my way down to the dining room to eat breakfast.
I sit at one end on the dining table while my mother sat at the other end of the long table. Even from such a long distance I could tell she had something on her mind. I use my napkin to pat my lips of the excess food on my lips, I ask my mother. "how was your sleep?", She doesn't even look up to speak to me. She mumbles something while stirring her oatmeal with her silver spoon. I look to the maid behind her, she notices me. I wave my hand over for her assistance. She curtseys and asks "yes mistress?" I ask her to clear the dining room for my mother and I to speak. She does so and closes the doors behind her.
As soon as the doors close I slam the table in rage, stand from the table and yell, "you need to get over this! You need to get help! You need someone!" My mother still not looking at me in the eye says "a princess does not raise her voice, child." I stomp over to her and say "you are being a coward and an embarrassment to me!" She finally puts her spoon down and look up at me. She exhales "you don't think I'm not trying to look like a coward or an embarrassment? I'm hurting child! Let me mourn!" She rises to leave but I stop her by grabbing her wrist. I say "you need to stop feeling sorry for yourself and become the queen everyone needs you to be mother!" She looks at me in shock and then back to emotionless. "If you feel that way, find someone who you can help me." She slips her wrist out of my grasp and walks away gracefully as she always does.
I collect myself and leave the dining room soon after my mother does. Raising my head back up and walk over to one of my guards to get a carriage ready for me. I'm going to the village to find someone to help my mother, I will ask around someone of the noblemen and women if they know of any doctors who could help with such an illness?
I'm escorted into my carriage and sent into the village with my coachmen as my escort in the village. Since my fathers death I haven't really gotten any friends to help me with such tasks due to people spreading rumours that I died after going not coming out of my room for months. The truth is that I became distant from everyone after my fathers death so that I don't get attached to anyone so no one dies at my fault.
As I am walking through the village I feel a pull at my skirt, I look down to see a small, young girl. Maybe 4 or 5 hold a daisy up to me, I smile a little and kneel down to her height. She says to me with her high pitched voice, "this is for you, your grace." She smiles with a big blush and hands me the flower with her small hand. I take the flower from her and say "you know, the flower is almost as beautiful as yourself my dear. I think with it behind your ear, it'd make you look stunning, let's see." I pull some strands of blonde hair behind her ear and place the daisy on top her ear. I pull back and gasp in exaggerated amazement. I say, "my dear, are you sure you aren't a princess yourself?" She shrugs her shoulders while having the most adorable blush I've seen. I hear someone call out that catches the girls attention. She runs into a young man, about my age who looks afraid as if he's done something wrong. I make my way to the young man and I'm assuming his younger sister. He bows and asks "your majesty, I apologize if my sister has done something wrong. I'll take the punishment on her behalf." He starts to look panicky. I reassure him "it is alright, she was giving me the most beautiful gift." I kneel back down to her her height, "sweetheart, what is the name worthy of such a beauty as of yourself?" She says "Juliette, your majesty." I smile at her and nod my head "it's been a pleasure, Miss Juliette." I get back up and brush off my gown. The older brother say "if there's anything I can help with your majesty, I am now in your debt for being so kind to Juliette." I ask "well uh- what was your name sir?" He says in shock "I apologize your majesty- my name is Valentin." He nods his head in a bow matter. I bow back and say "well, Valentine. Would you happen to know of any good doctors who could help my mother? She is ill. I don't know who to go to." He says to me "doctor Agustin is very pricy but he has been known to be a miracle worker." I ask, "does he have an address or store I can locate him?" He says, " yes your majesty, he lives on 489 Rue du chat qui pēche." I tell my coachman to write it down and thank Valentin for his help. My coachman and I head back to the carriage and go to the location to whom will hopefully help my mother and our kingdom....
