Godspeed: Speed of Lightning

Chapter 4: the Secret

 When Yagi returns home from talking with Kirishima, he gets a stern talking to from Inko, who hugs him. She then lightly hits him for going over his limit. Inko says, "We should let him now."

Toshinori answers, "Of course."

So Toshinori walks to Izuku's room, knocking on the door. He asks, "Could you come to the living room?"

As Toshinori returns to the couch, Killua enters the room. Killua asks, "So? What is this about?"

Inko answers, "It's nothing about you, but it is about Toshi-kun."

Killua then asks, "Is Toshinori, All Might?"

Given the shocked faces on both of the adult's faces, Killua is right about his theory of Toshinori being the Symbol of Peace: All Might. Toshinori all, but nodding confirms it, as well.

Toshinori asks, "How'd you know?"

Killua, with a shrug answers, "Just a theory. The blonde hair, blue eyes, and baggy clothes set it off for me. Along with seeing you talk with that redhead, about training."

Inko gasps, as she looks at Toshinori. She asks, "So will he be your Successor?"

Toshinori replies, "I'm still thinking about it. I want to see will in action. It's either Kirishima-shonen, or the one Nighteye told me about, Mirio Togata, if I remember correctly."

Inko then asks, "What about your most guarded secret? Your Quirk?"

Toshinori nods, and says, "My Quirk? It's called One for All. It is a combination of a Stockpile Quirk, and a Quirk that allows one to pass it down."

After letting it sink in, Toshinori says, "Long ago, a man with a Quirk that allows him to steal other Quirks and give them away forcibly gave his seemingly Quirkless younger brother a Quirk that allowed him to stockpile power within his body. However, unknown to either of them, the younger brother already had a Quirk with no other power than that it could be transferred to another person. The transference Quirk and the power stockpiling Quirk merged into one and from then on became One For All. The younger brother somehow discovered this. He had a strong sense of justice and he tried to defeat All For One, but given the huge difference in their strength, the younger brother failed. The younger brother then decided to entrust the Quirk to future generations of Heroes, hoping that they would cultivate One For All and one day put a stop to All For One, or otherwise known as the older brother."

Again, after letting the story sink into Killua, Toshinori says, as if answering Killua unanswered question, "I'm the Eighth user of One For All."

Killua then asks, "Why has all of your public appearances grown smaller, and smaller in time?"

Toshinori answers, "It was five years ago, when I battled All For One. The battle was tough. I barely won it. But, it came with great sacrifice. I completely lost my stomach, and my respiratory system was heavily damaged. Through numerous surgeries, I was able to get some of my stomach back, but was emancipated, to only being able to be in buff form for three hours a day. When I give One For All to my successor, my time will continue to shrink, until I can no longer have use of it. And thus be Quirkless once again."
Killua just nods, taking everything into his heart, swearing silence to himself. As he gets up to go to his room. Toshinori asks, "Will you keep this a secret?"

Killua nods in silence. He didn't need to say anything else, and everyone in the room knew it. Toshinori smiled at the nod. He knew that Killua would take this secret to the grave.
