After the 1 week break

"yumeko! saotome!" we heard suzui yelled in the school hallway when he saw us. we all walked towards our classroom talking about what we did during the break.

"saotome." i heard a robot-ish voice behind me. all 3 of us turned around simultaneously and saw the vice president.
"ririka!" i exclaimed while walking towards her and gave her a headpat.

i ended up being split apart with yumeko since i wanted to talk to ririka for a while.

"i feel bad ..." i accidentally said aloud. i widened my eyes and covered my mouth while ririka gave me a look. well, it was probably confusion since she has a mask on.

how annoying. well, the mask of course.

"saotome, what do you mean you 'feel bad' ?" she asked me. i uncovered my mouth and told her it was nothing. we continued walking together and talking about what we did during the break.

Lunch

"mary-san, want to eat lunch with us?" yumeko offered as soon as the bell rang. i was about to accept the offer until i saw ririka outside my classroom, waiting for me. "i'm good. besides i have somewhere else to go to." i told yumeko as i got up and ran towards ririka.

"oh. alright then." yumeko said with a little solemn in her voice, "suzui-san, want to eat lunch with me then?"

"s-sure!"

as yumeko and suzui kept talking about anything they had in mind, suzui had become a little suspicious of the gambling freak since he was still concerned of what happened before that break last week. "yumeko? what has been going on with you and saotome?" he asked.

yumeko became a little nervous after receiving the question but quickly acted blunt. "hm? nothing. why?"

suzui frowned, expecting an answer.

"then why did you expect saotome to get over her crush? you know tsuzura was the first person she's ever loved, saotome can't just let go of her like that."

yumeko's heart started to beat faster. she's probably have never been this nervous besides her sister being in the hospital for a while and giving mary the "suprise." she's always heard so many rumors about mary's first love but not even the tsudere has talked about her in front of yumeko.

"suzui-san."

"y-yes?"

"do you really want to know?"

"yes! you see, i've been getting a bit worried for a while and i've-"

"it's cause i want her to." she said with a solemn smile and interrupted the latter. suzui was speechless but he didn't bother saying another word.

ririka and i were currently just eating lunch together on the rooftop. the rooftop gave me a memory from when yumeko and i- wait.

shit.

i kinda forgot we did that.

i immediately turned red while thinking about that. "saotome? you alright?" ririka asked with her shy voice. i looked at her and nodded and proceeded eating my soba.

"hey ..." i started a whole new conversation awkwardly, "when is it a good time to confess towards someone that's... overseas?" i asked ririka.

damn it. that must've been hella weird. especially the fact that i'm asking for advice.

"hmm, text? no no, probably visit her when it's Christmas. besides, it's going to be October next month and Christmas is gonna be in 2 months." she said. i nodded and decided to eat my lunch to ignore the fact that i asked ririka that. "why did you ask?" she asked me while looking towards me.

i turned my head towards her and gave her the same eye contact that she was giving me.

"it was nothing. besides i was just being dumb." i faked a chuckle while telling her that.

was i even using the right word?

overseas?
