"Mom! ". Loretta heard it. Although it wasn't clear ,she heard it. "stop, Sean! "  she shrilled. " Are you insane!? " Sean retorted. " it's chasing us... "  . "No, it's Michael. " Loretta said, calmly.
Sean stopped the car.  Loretta ran toward her son. She didn't hug him, but snapped at him. " why are your clothes like this?! " she screamed. " I'm sorry, Mom" Michael said. "I don't want to hear it" she said as she led him to the car. Sean was ashamed of himself for his  gutless behavior. Beatrice left for her car while the Haley's left for their home. They drove home in complete silence. Michael broke the silence. "Mummy, are we still going to Kim's for her party?" he asked, with a pleading voice. Loretta answered almost immediately, like she knew what he was going to ask. "No, baby "  she said with a tone that showed she wasn't angry at him anymore. " I want to go! " Michael shrilled. "I said no! " Loretta shrieked in response to Michael's tantrum.
She looked at him from the front mirror. He jerked multiple times. She behaved like she didn't see him. Now, he stared at her straight in the eye. Loretta wrinkled her forehead. "Silly boy," she thought. "You can't go to her house, it's late! ".  She continued to look at him in the front mirror and he continued to stare her in the eye. It was like they were both waiting for something to happen. Michael gave a sinister smile. He blinked and his eye colour changed from blue to yellow then, green.
Loretta's eyes widened. " what's that you're doing with your eyes " she asked her son. Michael spoke with an unbelievably deep voice. "What do you think?" he asked, directing his focus on Loretta's eyes.
   Excuse me? .Loretta thought.
She looked at Sean. Much to her amusement he wasn't even involved in the strange occurrences since they left Michael alone.  " Where are you in all of this?!" she asked Sean, making the atmosphere quite tense. " What happened to your voice?!" Loretta squealed, directing her question to Michael.
Michael didn't say a word, but continued to smile in that sinister manner. Even Loretta was dumbfounded. Sean looked at her then noticed her heart piercing stare. He stopped looking at her because Loretta's stare could be murderous at times. Michael jerked again multiple times. "Mom, can I have a hoagie at drummers? " he asked Loretta.  Drummers was a restaurant close to their home in Denver, Colorado. Loretta was yet again dumbfounded. It was like someone was changing the TV station. Michael would be himself then someone else.  She didn't reply him but breathed loudly.
Sean stared at Loretta, expecting her to say yes or no because they were fast approaching drummers. "Loretta..." Sean said as Loretta rudely interrupted. " YES!!! " she screamed. The two others in the car who have been part of her life for many years, have never seen her have such an outburst of anger. She was never an extrovert really.
