( prologue )
-death is an old friendDREADFUL screams echo throughout the entire warehouse, bullets whizzing through the air as the people screams get wilder, as if it's their last scream for help.
Call her sadistic but the pained screams rests warm on her chest, the thought of thugs getting what they deserve always manages to bring a smile to her face.
The ringing noise of metal against metal makes everything feel so violent, the platform shifts under Haven, as she peers into the gaps of the already rusting roof. The shoot out wasn't exactly supposed to come about but the infamous Red hood decided to intervene once again.
She watches the vigilante shoot around the room like an imbecile, it's visible in his fighting that he has absolutely no regard for the chaos he creates.
She can feel her blood boiling as she continues to follows him, after all she planned to take this down herself, although he's doing the job for her, It's not like Haven to take hand-outs from others, especially not strangers running around with guns and a bucket over his head.
Red hood could feel eyes shooting bullets to his head, but with the men screaming and kicking around him maybe it's a good thing to ignore the heavy glares and focus on the people trying to kill him.
As a tall woman tries to kick him in, he quickly grabs the woman's foot, he throws the leg to his left and the woman collides with the two oncoming men at this, he chuckles.
The memory of sparring with bruce comes back to his head, but the happy moment just brings Jason to the thought of what he might never have again.
Distracted by this, the man lying amongst the corpses rises from the fallen and reaches for the gun next to him, positioning the gun to the blurry figure he aims as best as he can, his finger hovers over the trigger.
Just as he was about to shoot red pools in his chest, he can feel it tightening as he chokes on his own blood he feels himself dropdown with a blade within his chest he takes his last breath.
Jason can see a woman behind the thug, his senses instantly reach for his guns pointing it at the woman in white he sees the blade sticking out from the thug, she saved him.
Almost as if the criminals around him no longer matter, he points the guns at her. " who the hell are you " he feels his voice slightly waver as the words leave his lips
A chuckle erupts from the woman muting the groans from the men at their feet.
"Put the guns down Red, we all want the same thing here"
Her voice was unlike most women, gruff, and raspy. To his dismay, the woman's voice managed to make him feel slightly aroused, slightly.
"Wanna help me take down the big bat?"
