It's dark. W-where am I? Peaceful. It was raining. Then I saw a girl looking at me. "I'm glad.. that you'll die with me.. Ryu."

I was watching an idol group called Heartlink. However, my eyes were only focused to Hime. She's the prettiest in the group.

"Ryu. Ms. Yuri's calling you. You're next," called by one of my classmates.

I was heading to the counseling room to have a talk about what am I going to do after the graduation. "Have a seat, Ryu," offered Ms. Yuri.

"So you're going directly into the work-force even though your grades are good enough to go to Lingyan University," she said while looking on the paper full of information about me.

"I.. can't leave the city," I anxiously responded. Ms. Yuri was flipping the papers over. "I see you live with your mother, grandmother and brother. And... your brother's a shut-in?" She said as if she's worried.

"Yes, and my grandmother isn't all there anymore," I said while staring at her blankly. "She has a dementia?" she replied. "Ah, exactly." I looked down and continued talking. "Right, and my mom's a nurse, so she hasn't got much free time. It'd be easier for her if I start working immediately,"  I uttered as I keep on looking down.

"It'd be pretty hard to make her life easier by starting to work straight after high school," she said with a smile on her face. "Talk with her first. Maybe she'd want you to go to university."

A strong wind catches my hair as I walked down to a pedestrian lane. "Wow, the wind's pretty strong," mumbled by my classmate. "Another typhoon, I guess," I hissed while tucking my hands into my pocket.

Then the bus came. "Ah, the bus is here. See ya." I immediately boarded the bus. I made a sigh. A big sigh of relief. Safe.

I looked around and found an empty spot. I sat down and looked outside of the window. A shabby city. Then I brought my earphones and my phone out. I plugged it into my ear and started to watch Heartlink. I smiled.

I felt the bus have stopped for a moment. I was shocked when someone unplugged my earphone into my ear. It was Mine. I stared at her. "Hmm, Hime's a real goddess!" she said with a smirk on her face.

"Hey, Mine," I responded softly. She stared at me and said, "Looks like you got totally hooked on Heartlink." I laughed weakly. "Totally." She chuckled a little.

We have arrived when Mine suddenly shouted, "Aaaaaaaaaahhh! I wanna go to Jian City! I wanna see Heartlink live!" We started walking. "How nice it would be if I was to be born like Hime," she sulked.

"I was born in a shabby place and as if that it wasn't enough. I'm ugly, fat, small, a nerd and I'm short-sighted." I stared at her while she was busy talking to herself.

"But I don't think your current life is that miserable," I groaned. "Whaaaaat?" I can tell that she's pissed. "Well I mean, you're smart so you can go to any university you want. Plus weren't you saying that you might go to college in Jian before?"

She stopped walking. "Can't you listen?" Did I pissed her even more? She turned herself to me. "They said I can try out for Polar!" she was beaming as she said it. "Really!? Polar's awesome!" She held my hands and jumped out of joy.
