Avi slowly opened her eyes, and sat up, rubbing them, with a yawn. She turned her head slightly, smiling at her brother as he slept. Then she noticed someone staring at her from behind the tree Van was sleeping on. She stood up, and stumbled backwards. "W-who are you? What do you want?" She said, stuttering out of fear. Then suddenly, her back bumped into someone. She turned around and backed up instantly, right before they swung their sword. Which cut Avi's hair, instead of hurting her. She yelled for Van, which woke him up right away. He ran next to her, and held her hand, staring at the unknown person that managed to cut her hair. The person slowly walked out of the shadows...revealing a girl. She was tall, with red hair. She had one brown eye, and one blind eye, with a scar on the blind eye. She clinched her sword, and pointed it at the both of them. "Who are you?" She asked, sternly, awaiting an answer. "We could ask you the same thing. Who are you?" Said Van, holding Avi close to him. She let out an annoyed groan, and put her sword to her side. "My name is Joelix. Joelix Winchellio. Who are you two?" She asked. "My name is Vanoic, and this is my younger sister, Aviliac. But you can just call us Van and Avi." He said, bowing, to which Avi did the same. She nodded, and pointed her sword back at them. Van was slightly annoyed by that action, but he simply smiled at her. "If you don't mind me asking, what are you? And, how did you move from behind the tree, to behind me, so quickly?" Avi asked, and Joelix laughed. "Well, for the first question, I am a Caracal. And for the second question, I didn't." She replied. Avi tilted her head with confusion at her answer. "Basically, one of my buddies was behind the tree, to distract you as I came up from behind." She said, "But, he left already. It's lunchtime, after all." Avi and Van nodded. "Oh, um.. I was wondering, could we possibly go to your place for lunch?  If you have one, and if you don't mind, of course. You see, we have nowhere to go at the moment." Said Van, Joelix rolled her eyes. "Fine. But only because you have nowhere to go. Don't get used to me being nice, got it?" She said, putting her sword on the carrier on her back. They nodded, and followed her as she walked away.
