My Poem

Soldiers come from near and far

Not knowing who they truly are

The battlefield a smoky grey

Skies of blue fade away

A single dove flies through the sky

For peace and love remains at high

My love, my heart, will stay with you

You saved my life and countless others too

In Flanders fields their bodies lay

Each and every single day

And every time you shed a tear

Remember soldiers dying each year

Lest we forget our hopes and dreams

Are not always, what it seems

Their in our hearts for evermore

Because they fought a deadly war

You've reached the end of published parts.
