-umm yeah sure..thanks.
Without really realizing it I had managed to stare at her for a really long time. Her hair was about shoulder length and the nicest shade of brown with some lighter highlights and her eyes were a light honey brown. Her skin was fair and smooth and she had quite a small figure. Her lips were full and rosy to match her cheeks and she seemed quite short. But then again who doesn't seem short compared to me.
I realized I had been staring at her blankly for like five minutes and l quickly felt the blood rush to my cheeks.
-so what's you name?
I asked her to end the awkward silence.
-Arabella.
-that's a beautiful name.
Then there was more silence.
-oh god I'm sorry this is so awkward, I had planned this moment in my head so many times and now I don't know what to say, you are so important to me and now my mind just went blank and I can't stop shaking I'm sorry.
She said this with out stopping and in a nervous shaky voice.
-it's okay do worry, um do you want some ice cream?
-umm are you sure? You don't have to do this just to be nice I understand if you want to be left alone.
I couldn't help but smile at how nervous and clumsy she was being. It was actually kind of cute.
-it's no trouble at all on the contrary it's my pleasure and my treat. What do you say?
-umm.. okay
She said unsure and with a hint of disbelief still in her voice. I couldn't help but chuckle a little.
-Oh c'mon I don't bite I promise.
She mumbled something under her breath that couldn't quite hear.
-what did you say darling? I didn't catch that.
-Hmm? Oh, nothing I was just thinking out loud, I do that often.
-Okay then if you say so. What do you say we go get that ice cream now?
I intertwined my fingers with hers and felt her tense up. I thought nothing of it and I just continued to walk. After a few moments I felt her visibly relax and we arrived at the ice cream stand while receiving a few stares from individuals I assumed to be fans. We ordered our ice creams.
-do you want to go sit down?
I asked her
-sure lets go.
This time she didn't sound as nervous as before. We went back to the food court but they were cleaning it.
-How about we just walk around the mall while we finish our ice creams?
-sure that sounds good.
I locked my hand with hers once again while we walked around and the strangest sensation filled me. It was as if everything that had been troubling me before had disappeared and all that mattered was that exact moment. We finished our ice creams and continued to walk and then she asked
-shawn, can I ask you something?
-yes love
-well now I have two questions, number one why are you so damn nice to everyone? I can't be that nice, people get in my nerves.
I just laughed a little
-I don't know I think that's just part of my personality.
-god I love you
She whispered to her self but I heard it.
-and number two, can we FaceTime two of my friends ? If you don't want it's okay.
-don't you wanna at least take pictures first? I don't wanna move too fast.
I say this with a light chuckle and I see her blush and look down. She's so cute I can't help but smile.
-oh yeah you're right I'm sorry I'm just so excited to meet you and my friends are super crazy about you to.
She said with a cute excited voice.
-you're really cute you know that?
