Drake is a jock, quarter back in the football team, yet gets along well with his teachers and coach. Drake and Bella have been friends since middle school; always had each other's' back whether it was academically or not.

For example, back in 7th grade, Bella sneaked out the house around 11pm to go to a high school party at a friend's house, knowing her parents didn't approve of her not being at home that late at night. Drake and Bella's older brother, Joshua, were cool with each other and often hung out to play video games or skateboard. Luckily, that night was one of those nights that Drake was at Bella's place playing on the Nintendo 64 with Joshua. Joshua didn't really care about enforcing rules, nonetheless, cared for Bella's safety. However, being only about a year and three months older than Bella, he knew about the High School party that night and figured she should go and have some fun as long as she was back before 3am which is when her parents get up on a daily basis to get ready for work.
