"You're going to be okay now, Harry. You got me?"
The lady looked at me through her thick eyeglasses, and I nodded quietly, faking a smile at her.
She returned the smile as she scribbled something down in her notepad, before sitting up, straightening her back and adjusting her glasses further up on her nose.
"The school you'll be going to is a very nice, new private school. I'm sure you'll love it."
Again, I nodded, but I felt the fear rise in my chest as she explained the school to me. It was a large school with many people.
"Harry." She said calmly, as she leaned forward, taking my hand in hers.
"There is no need to be afraid. You're safe now. Nobody is going to hurt you. I can tell that you're scared. You don't need to be. I promise." She smiled softly at me, giving my hand an extra squeeze.
I just gave her a half smile in return and as soon as she realized that all she was gonna get, she pushed her chair out, and stood up, motioning for me to do the same.
"Well let's go then. Your first day of school starts in an hour." she stated simply as she made her way out of her office, with me at her feet.
And so, here we were. Standing in front of the large, three story, newly built private school as students were making their way through the main doors like little ants rushing into their antpiles.
"Alright, Harry. First thing you see when you walk through the doors, is the front office. You got me?" The lady looked at me as if I didn't understand English. I just nodded, as she continued.
"You just tell them your name, and they'll understand. Okay?"
Again, I nodded politely. She sighed and smiled at me before she reached in for an awkward half hug.
"Nobody is after you, Harry. You're safe here." She whispered into my ear, before she pulled away and got into her car.
"Pick you up after school!" She yelled, before driving off into the distance. All of a sudden, I missed her. I was all alone. I took a shaky breath before I slowly made my way into the large building as if I was entering a dynamite factory. I glanced around until the front office the lady had told me about caught my eye, and quickly made my way to the girl standing at the front office offering me a sweet smile.
"Hello. What can I help you with?" She asked in a cheerful tone. I looked up at her. She had long, blonde, wavy hair and a flowery headband across her head. She was stunning, but I doubt she was any older than I was.
"Uhm.. I'm.. Uh.. Erm.. I'm new.." I stuttered, causing her face to light up.
"All right then! New student! Im Perrie Edwards, nice to meet you!" She held her hand out, and I automatically flinched. She furrowed her eyebrows in confusion but shook it off quickly.
"Name?"
"Harry.. Erm.. Harry Styles.."
She nodded as she quickly typed something on the computer, and disappeared into another room, only to appear back, but this time she came on the other side of the front desk, on my side with several papers.
"Alright, Harry, I'll follow you to your first class. It's a huge school, you might get confused."
I just nodded simply, as I followed her through the large halls, which were now stranded, which I assumed was because classes had already begun.
"Here! Theatre!" She exclaimed excitedly as she stopped outside a door, handing me the papers.
"This is your first class. I'm sure someone will help you to your second class, just ask!" she stated enthusiastically as she made her way back down the way we came, leaving me in front of the door all by myself. I took a deep breath, looking at the dark woodwork in front of me. I could do this. I was safe here. Nobody was after me. Nobody could hurt me. And with that, I hesitantly knocked on the door. No less than a split second later, the door swung open, causing me to jump back about 3 feet and wince, and a man with large glasses and his dark brown trousers pulled so far up, you would think it would hurt stepped out. But he had a large, welcoming smile on his face.
"Well, hello! You must be the new student I was told about earlier!" He exclaimed excitedly, making sure to spit on my face in the process. I just smiled and nodded unsurely as I wiped my face.
"Well, welcome!" He continued as he stepped and motioned for me to come in to the classroom, which with a lot of hesitation I eventually did, only to see about 50 people's eyes glued on me, with a deathening silence. I felt the blood drain from my face and I took a step back, trying to control my breathing. They hated me. They hated me just like the rest of the world.
