The song of the day is 'Brave' by Sarah Barrelies.

Arnold's POV

I sat next to Gerald as we entered language. "Gerald, am I going crazy, or did Helga basically compliment me in the hall?" He shrugged. I stared over my shoulder then sighed looking forward. "I dunno what's goin' on man. But if you hurry, you might get her." I started doodling in my journal. "I know but it's so hard to read her Gerald. I guess that's what I like about her. She keeps me on my toes and there's always a surprise in store. I just wish something would happen so we can be together." Gerald sighed. "Arnold my man, something can happen. YOU HAVE TO TELL HER." I nodded looking at my journal. Gerald looked in it too and chuckled. "My man, you're hopeless." I moaned at the hearts with A+H in them. Mrs. Wilks came in and sat at her desk. "Welcome class, today we will partner up to learn about metaphors. You will write three short stories using at least twelve metaphors each. Then you will write two sentences about each other also metaphorical. If you forget what you're supposed to do, these papers I'm handing out will explain it." I looked over the paper. 'Partner. Please be Helga G Pataki. Please, please, please." "Arnold and Helga. Phoebe and Gerald. Lila and Stinky. Sid and Nadine. Harold and Joey. Rhonda and Curly." I thanked God and glanced at Helga. Gerald elbowed me. "Happy much?" I sighed still staring at her. "I'm making it work."
