I headed to the snack cart, with a dollar in my hand, just waiting to be spent.
As I was standing in the back of the line, I got a little bored. I fiddled around with the dollar.
" hi ari"
I turned, and saw a giggling Marie.
" you scared the shit outta me"
" I know, " she said and giggled some more.
" what are you buying? " I asked Marie.
" uh, I don't have any money"
" we can share something"
I bought some weird cheeses thingys and they were like cheese sticks.
We walked over to the tree and met up with the group, which consisted of Jessica, Alexis, hallie, Sadie, marie, and I.
1 minute later...
I took a bite of the cheese thing and almost gagged. Ok, I did gag.
" what's wrong?" Hallie asked with wide eyes through her glasses.
" this school food tastes like shit!" I shouted.
" it can't be that bad..." Marie said, grabbing a piece.
She observed it, and took a big bite.
Her face twisted into a disgusted face.
" ewwww"
" told ya"
The bell rang, and Marie, Sadie and I walked to English together.
On the way, Marie almost slipped, her sandal- clad feet caked with thick, brown mud.
