{  A Wonderful Gift  }

Everyone has a beginning when they're born.

This story is about one particular person who was born on a page of a sketchbook. Her creator was an artist with a hidden talent. She's also an author, but she mostly writes fanfiction stories. However, she's been working hard on an original story. Unfortunately, she hasn't published it yet 'cause it's not ready.

Anyway, the artist decided to take a break from writing and draw some doodle pictures. That is when our main heroine comes in.

You see, the artist was using a special kind of pen that she had bought from a witchcraft store. But what she didn't know is, the pen was actually crafted with powerful magic. So when she finished drawing a doodle character, she gives her a name.

"Hmmm... I'll call you, Alia." said the Artist.

Suddenly, the doodle rises up from the sketchbook page and starts growing big. The artist gasps in shock and jumped away, crawling backwards from her desk 'til her back was against her bed.

The doodle was now the same height as her creator and she is alive. She looked around the room, confused. Then she noticed the artist, who is terrified.

"Who— Who are you?" Alia asked.

The artist rubbed her eyes before she pinched herself, seeing if she was dreaming due to exhaustion from working too much.

"Ow!" cried the Artist.

The doodle tilted her head, curious. Then she copied the artist and pinched herself too.

"Ow!" cried Alia.

Incredible. This was not a dream at all. The pure snow white doodle with beautiful purple eyes truly was real.

"How is this possible?" The Artist asked herself.

The artist stands up and walked over to her desk. She picks up the pen and examines it. The pen is medium long, dark brown with gold swirls design on its surface, and the top tip has a ruby shard wrapped delicately in a copper metal wire.

The artist decides to test the pen and draws a butterfly on Alia's back in the sketchbook. After coloring it blue, she speaks again.

"This butterfly shall be Alia's birthmark." said the Artist.

Just then, the butterfly pops out from the sketchbook and flys to Alia, becoming a part of her as it landed on her back. The artist was amazed by the magic she witnessed. She stared at Alia, then back at the pen.

"Incredible..." said the Artist.

"I'm incredible?" Alia asked, curious.

"Yes— You too, Alia." The Artist replied. "You are the most beautiful, magical thing that's ever happened to me."

Alia smiled. "I'm glad I made you happy, my Creator," said Alia. "May I know your name?"

"Feleysa... My name is Feleysa Charles." Feleysa replied.

"Nice to meet you, Feleysa," said Alia.

And so the artist keeps Alia around as company, but kept her existence a secret. She began teaching her all about Earth, with histories of different countries, states, storybooks from different authors, a little bit of math as best she could, and taught her to draw her own pictures.

Alia loved to learn, she mostly loved art and literature. Then she was introduced to the Transformers comic books and the TV shows. She fell absolutely in love with them.

Later on, through time, Alia grew to have crushes on attractive mech characters, wishing they're real so she could kiss them.

One day, she got up the courage and asks her Creator for a very important request.

"You want me to draw you what!?" Feleysa asked, shocked.

"A boyfriend..." Alia replied. "But not just any boyfriend— I want one of my favorite mechs to be my boyfriend."

"Ummm... Alia, I don't think that's a good idea," said Feleysa.

"Why not?" Alia asked.

"Well because... You see, these transformer characters you're attracted to are super huge. So, if I bring one to life, this whole house will collapse." Feleysa replied, worried.

"Then you can draw my boyfriend outside," said Alia.

"It's still not going to work out, Alia. Nearby neighbors will notice and panic. Plus, I don't think I was allowed to buy this magic pen just so I can go overboard and abuse its power." said Feleysa.

"But~" Before Alia was going to speak further, Feleysa interrupts her.

"I said NO, Alia!" said Feleysa.

Alia was shocked Feleysa raised her voice at her. The poor doodle felt sad, tears pour down her cheeks. Then she runs out of the office and went back to her bedroom, slammed the door behind her.

Feleysa suddenly felt bad for hurting Alia's feelings.

One hour later, Feleysa goes over to Alia's bedroom and knocks on her door.

 "Alia?" Feleysa called.

"Go away! I hate you!" Alia shouted while crying on her bed.

"Please, Alia— I'm deeply sorry for what I said— Can we talk?" said Feleysa.

Alia sniffled and wiped her tears from her face. "Fine..." Alia replied.

Feleysa enters Alia's bedroom and sits at the end of the bed.  "I didn't mean to upset you. But you must understand I can't give you exactly what you want," said Feleysa.

"But why?— Why can't I have a boyfriend?" Alia asked.

"I already told you, the type of boyfriend you desire is too gigantic for you— Besides, I don't think the pen has the power to make mechanical beings fall in love with you," Feleysa replied.

"How do you know without even giving it a try?" Alia asked, sad.

"I'm sorry, but that is a risk I'm not willing to take," Feleysa replied with a serious tone.  "However, if you're patient and you prove to me you're ready to take on responsibilities, then I'll draw a male doodle who can be your romantic boyfriend."

Alia thought for a few moments and then spoke. "... Okay," said Alia.

"Good," said Feleysa.  "Now how about I cook your favorite meal for tonight's dinner?"

"You mean, Jambalaya?" Alia asked, excited and hungry.

"You bet," Feleysa replied with a smile.

 "Yay!" said Alia, happy.
