Chapter 1
I turned my music down, shivering slightly as I pulled into the dark driveway. I pulled up, parking my car by the front steps before pulling my hood up, grabbing my small black backpack and my iced coffee before stepping out of my car, locking it as I walked up the front steps. I grabbed my key to the large home, unlocking the door before walking into the sleeping home, locking the door behind me.
It was early, so early that the sun and everyone in the house wasn't awake, and the home had little to no lights on. I made my way through the poorly lit house and into the kitchen, letting out a soft sigh as I looked at the mess the inhabitants of the home left for me. I placed my bag down on the kitchen island before grabbing my phone and walking towards the fridge, I looked at what was left and what was needed before ordering it through one of the many apps that existed for that type of thing. Then, I made my way over to the sink and began scrubbing away.
After what felt like forever, I began putting away the now clean dishes. As I turned around to go to the cabinet, I gasped, jumping as I looked to see my boss standing there with a camera.
"Sorry, did I scare you?" He laughed, smiling softly as I laughed, shaking my head.
"What are you doing awake?" I smiled, letting out a deep breath as I stacked the plates, placing them back where they belong.
"I'm making a video about you," he looked past his camera at me as I just looked at him strangely, crossing my arms as I leaned against the counter.
"Why?" I said bluntly, looking at him rather than his camera.
"Because you're important to us and you never want to be on camera-"
"It's because I don't like cameras,"
"Okay, well, I appreciate everything that you do for us and I want the world to see just how important you are so I'm doing a mini-documentary about what it takes to be the assistant at the Hype House," he smirked as one of the members of the house walked in, dragging his feet as he groggily walked into the room. He looked at me, then at Thomas, then back at me before shaking his head and walking towards the fridge.
"Goodmorning to you too," I smiled as he just glared back at me.
"Shut, the fuck, up," he yawned, flipping me off before looking through the fridge, Thomas laughing as I just smiled at the boy.
"Back to you," I huffed, looking at Thomas as he nodded, smiling back at me. "Why must you make a documentary? I literally show up for 12 hours, do all your chores, practically babysit you guys, and then leave," I huffed, slipping my hands into the pockets of my sweatpants.
"Because I want to," he smirked as I just laughed, shaking my head as Ryland, the boy who had flipped me off just seconds before walked over, threw his arm around me, leaning his head against mine.
"It's because you're like, the house to the hype," Ryland smiled as I laughed, wrapping my arm around Ryland's waist as I smiled at Thomas.
"Why can't you just skip the documentary and just give me a raise?" I smirked as Thomas laughed, nodding his head.
"How about I give you all the money this video makes," he smirked as I nodded, sticking my hand out. He smirked softly, knowing he won me over, before walking over to me and shaking my hand.
"You gonna buy your boyfriend a teddy bear with that money?" Ryland smirked down at me as I laughed, looking up at him with a strange look.
"What does that even mean?" I laughed as he shrugged, smirking back down at me.
"It means, you're wearing Nick's merch, so I assumed-" he shrugged as I just shook my head.
"I'm going to actually punch you," I laughed, pushing Ryland off of me as he laughed, quickly coming back and engulfing me in a big hug.
"It's just because I love you, Carlisle," he smiled, hugging me tightly as Thomas made sure to capture it on camera.
"Carlisle, really?" I smirked as he shrugged, holding me tightly.
"Carli has to be short for something, right?" He smirked as I shook my head, looking up at him.
"No," I smiled, laughing softly. Ryland just shrugged. I tried to push him off of me but he just continued to hug me as I walked around, trying to clean up the kitchen, Thomas making sure to capture every moment.
