Valerie (Part 1)

There has been a few complications between me and the one of the guardians lately... Just a while ago I saw Dedan; The guardian of Zone One, who was pacing around looking frustrated about the poor quality work that the Elsen's were doing . In all honesty I think they were doing their job just fine. Perhaps he was stressed about some stuff in his personal life? I wouldn't know. It worried me because Dedan isn't easily frustrated with the little things, he's usually kind and a sympathetic man with a soul of a fighter, and ever since he was assigned to play the role of a guardian he's become ticked off by the littlest things. Which is why I have decided to pay a visit in his office and see what's up.

Upon my arrival to Zone 1, I popped up to Dedan's office and opened his door, as he turns around he suddenly began to lash out and demanded me to get out of his office because he is stressed out and he has no time for chit chat. Without saying a word, I politely left his office and heard the door slammed shut behind me. You know a simple "no" for an answer would of been fine I thought, but I guess being rude is also acceptable.

I didn't pay much mind to the incident, but at the same time his mental state is beginning to worry me.. Perhaps Japhet; guardian of Zone 2, might know what is going on with Dedan. I mean then again Japhet is a good hearted little Phoenix who's very open minded and caring about the worlds future, So talking to someone with some sense and manners would give me a better chance to figure out what's going on. As I arrived to Zone 2, I looked up the sky to look for the little Phoenix since he's usually flying around and keeping the elsens in check, but strangely I couldn't find the little bird. I looked inside the Library from top to bottom and no sign of Japhet. Plus the building next to the library called the 'mall' is under construction so i highly doubt he is even in there. I didn't think much of it since Japhet could possibly be doing other important stuff, so instead I've decided to check in later.

As I was about to leave Zone 2, I spotted one of the little Feline's, this time it was the Judge who ran up to me and worriedly asks about his brother's whereabouts which I responded without a clue because I was busy looking for the little Phoenix. Suddenly there was a realization painted on Pablos face that said "I need to find Valerie now!". But of course I couldn't just leave the Judge in distress and knowing that his brother is missing, so instead I've offered help and decided to look for Japhet later.

"When was the last time you were with him?" I asked.

"We were napping at most comfort inside a basement of an Office building located in Zone 1 after a tiresome day of catching ourselves some food for our nourishment by Alma. Right after I woke up, he was missing! And my assumptions of his whereabouts is at this location."

"Why do you assume he's here?"

" I'd say my dear brother certainly has been growing delusional for the past couple days since I occasionally catch him talking nonsense to himself about desperately wanting to stop Japhet from growing mad. It is like he knows something that I don't, and whenever I ask him about it he snaps back to reality and then pretends like nothing has ever happened."

Strange... I've replied in response. Valerie seemed fine to me since I last talked to him. Although I must agree that something strange is definitely going on with Him. I mean how is Japhet growing mad if all he ever does is try to make his citizens happy?

But anywho, since the two of us have no idea where Valerie ran off too, we have decided to come up with a plan in asking the Residents if they have seen a little white cat pass by.

A couple of hours have passed by and the sky seemed to be getting darker by the minute but unfortunately we had no luck and Pablo didnt seem to look very well. I asked him if he needed some rest before we continue with our search but him being the older brother, he was determined to press on and continue onwards, "not until I find my dear brother" he distressingly said. I let out a sigh and thought for moment.

A few minutes passed by and Pablo seemed completely drained and the poor guy passed out right next to my legs. I carried him in my arms and decided to find a place for us to stay, luckily I managed to find this desolated area that seemed eerily familiar to me... I wasn't sure why but that didn't mattered right now. I'm just glad I found someplace to camp out in the meantime.

Valerie where ever you are.. I hope you are alright.
