*One Week Later*
It’s been a week and Aubrey and I have been talking every day. Today is the day I tell her that she’s been Catfished. I should’ve just walked up to her and confronted her instead of just hiding behind Jake. I’m at school and I’m really nervous. I clutch my phone in my pocket when the teacher says it’s time for lunch. I walk to my locker to get my lunch bag and walk to the janitor’s closet, where I usually eat my lunch. After I eat everything I whip my phone out. I stare at Aubrey’s contact that’s displayed on the screen. I take a deep breath and go to our message board. I act as Jake and tell her I’m at her school. She asked me where and I just said I was in the janitor’s closet. She said she was coming and she used the excited emoji. About five minutes later she opens the door and sees me standing there. My heart is beating 1000 miles per hour.
“Isaiah?” she says looking at our messages and back at my face.
“It’s Jake actually”, I say trying to sugar coat it.
But I know that it’ll be a while before anything is coated with a single crystal.
