Old broken pieces of wood cracks under my bare feet, causing a loud snapping noise echo in the hollow house. Thrown furniture and broken glass scattered everywhere over the fragile house's floors as if a war had begun but never ended. A deafening cry broke through the thick silencing air causing me to jump a little in surprise. A set of bendy stairs as delicate as a thin layer of ice across a lake. The sweat on my forehead slides down my face, mixing with terrified tears.
The chilling cries turned into a fit of giggles as a humming noise filled my head, listening closely I could hear a voice whisper.. ‘She’s coming, she’s almost here, keep a watch out.’'
A soft, almost unheard clicking noise popped open a hidden door next to me, sending a cloud of dust in my face causing me to sneeze. The door has no handles on either side and behind was a hidden room with no windows and draws, just one stained red bed. My breath hitched in my throat, shivering in terror.
‘Don't go in there' the girl’s voice whispered again, but this time next to my left ear, 'it’s not too late to escape.' this time it came from my right. shaking the feeling of being watched, I walked into the room and towards the bed. Feeling the mattress with the tip of my left fingers, the blood was wet fresh and warm.
“RUN!!" A scream echoed shaking the house. Something gripped my shoulders, a hot breath blew on the back of my neck.
“Too late." a new voice spoke.
