Chapter 4

Austin just stared at where they flew off for a few more minutes. He was more or less lost in thought about what just happened. "Why did I just run over to him instead of literally anyone else there?" He thought just before he was interrupted by a hand being put on his shoulder. He at the owner, only to see Redshade.

"You ok?" He asked, extremely worried. "You've been staring into space for a while now." "Oh," Austin replied, realizing he lost track of time. "Come with me," he ordered in a less authoritative voice. Austin was confused on his choice of tone, but knew he should go with him anyway.

After having teleported to Redshade's office, Austin sits down in the chair that is across from the desk. Redshade sits down in his chair, and went into a thinking position. Tension and awkward silence filled the air. Redshade eventually broke it. "So," he said. "Do you have feeling for him?" "Who?" Austin asked in a slightly confused voice. "Eteled," Redshade clarified, his expression changing to an angry one. "What? No," Austin said quickly, almost sounding offended. "I know what would happen if it happened." Despite how often it happens, about 3/4 of the time, it's been banned entirely from Heck at least. Austin's not sure if Heaven did the same.

"Good," Redshade replied with an angry tone. "You can go now." Austin hurries out quickly. He meets up with the others at the hospital. As he walks in, not only can he see, but he can almost smell the love Solomon and Red are giving each other by flirting. He mentally did a gag motion, mostly because he didn't want to get killed by Red but also he had other stuff on his mind that it would just worsen everything so he didn't, and looked for someone to help him gain some health back.

He looked around and saw Rossaline, and decided to walk over. "Well, if it isn't the electrocutioner," she said in a joking tone as he walked over. "That was over four YEARS ago and you know it," he shot back. She just rolls her eyes and smiles.

He walks over and gives her the money needed for his wounds. There wasn't much, but he still needed to keep as much energy as possible. "So you've been here longer than I have, right?" he asked. "Yeah," she replied, knowing that he already knew that. He normally asks her about before Redshade was given the throne, even though he experienced it a bit. However, it wasn't that long ago. "How close were you and Redshade?" he asked in a lower voice, barely above a whisper. "No, not really," she replied. Austin sighed disappointingly. He motioned for her to lean in. "I was hoping if you knew what his sexuality was," he said at a voice level between a whisper and breathing it. "What?" she said, laughing in a low tone of voice. "Well, he tried to ask me to date him," he explained. "Well," she asked him. "Do you like him?" "I don't think so," he responded. "Well, then he can't do much to court you until you do start feeling something towards him," she explained.

She got done with the bandages. "Well, that was quicker and longer than usual," she commented. "What was different this time?" She was right though: normally instead of focusing on one person he fights as many as possible. He explained to her everything that happened. By the time he was done, she was silent. In fact, she wasn't the only one silent. Everyone was. "Are you saying that he's breaking a law?" She asked slowly. "What? No. He just asked me if I wanted to date him and I said no," he explained more quickly. Everyone sighed. "If he were to have, he knows what's coming," Red mumbled. Solomon did his best to calm him down. But it did no good. Redshade was going to have to watch his back.
