"So, how do you feel?" Marcus asks.
Felix sitting on the other side of the table lets out a sigh, "Good... free..."
"Do you feel happy?" Marcus asks, looking into Felix's eyes.
Felix thinks for moment, "I don't know... maybe. I feel content."
"But not happy?" Marcus asks again.
"I'm not sure, maybe." Felix says, with a very weak smile.
"Well, you're content, that's a start. And now you're free, I hope you'll be happy." Marcus says.
"Thank you Marcus. You were a good parole officer." Felix says.
"I still am, I'll be keeping an eye on you till I'm sure you're on your feet." Marcus says.
"Thanks again."
"Alright then, you can find your belongings on the way out. Have a good life and PLEASE, don't come back here." Marcus teases Felix.
"And miss my chance to have fun with you? Oh, I'm killing more people now." Marcus says, getting up from the chair and starts to move away.
Marcus smiles at him, "Hey by the way..."
Felix stops.
"Do you regret it? Killing her?" Marcus asks.
Felix is silent. He lets out a big sigh, "...does it matter?"
"No, not really. I just wanna know." Marcus says.
"I don't. I never will." Felix says, looking dead into Marcus' eyes.
Marcus nods, "Have a good life man, I really hope you do."
"Thanks Marcus, if we see each other again, I hope it's outside." Felix says and moves outside.
Felix takes his belongings, which isn't much and walks out the prison building. He takes in a deep breath after getting out, with his eyes closed. He opens his eyes. He sees Arnold, his childhood friend, leaning on the hood of his car, smiling. Felix walks to him.
"You got fat." Arnold says.
"Really? That's what you ask?." Felix asks.
"Yeah but I gotta like say something right? How about 'prison has changed you'?" Arnold asks, teasing.
"That you say after I try to steal your money one month later." Felix says.
Arnold laughs and proceeds to hug Felix tightly. Felix takes in the hug like a surge of electricity charging him.
"10 years, damn... I waited 10 years for that." Arnold says, slightly teared up.
"Damn right buddy." Felix says.
They both get in Arnold's car. He starts the car and drives.
"So... home?" Arnold asks?
"Yes please. Did you uhm... do what I said?" Felix asks.
"Yup, removed all her pictures. It's just Felicia's pictures now." Arnold says.
"Thanks man, I appreciate it." Felix says.
"Of course man, anything for you." Arnold says.
Arnold turns the radio on and continues driving to Felix's house. After a while they finally reach the house.
