There was a minute left before the door would open and everybody got ready to face the unknown. As quickly as we could we did the other floors slowly but surely making to the bottom.
"Gosh oreo, if it wasn't for you we wouldn't be in such a rush," I complained which just made him angry. He bonked his forehead against mine and we started arguing like children.
"Leorio, We don't have time to bicker among each other," Kurapika said with a sigh.
"WELL SAY THAT TO (Y/N)!"
"No more arguing Leorio."
"Guys look it's the last door," Gon said while pointing at two door with a tv screen between them.
"This is the last door that would lead you to the very end,"
"Yes!" Gon said while smiling brightly.
"X is the short way that would lead you to the very bottom in 3 minutes but two must be chained up, If 'o' is chosen everyone can go but It'll take 40 hours to complete.
"We have no choice but to go with X!" Leorio said
"We only have an hour but I'm going with 'o'" Kurapika said as he folded his arms and placed them near his chest.
"I'm going 'o' as well!" Gon said determined.
"Are you two crazy, we only have an hour left, there's no way we'll ever make it! Right Killua and (Y/n)!?"
"Sorry Leorio but I'm stickin with Gon, I did promise to stay by him." I calmly said while Killua nodded. Leorio in anger puched the wall.
"You guys just never listen to me!"
"Clam down Leo-"
Kurapika was interrupted by gon.
"I have an idea guys!" Gon said excited.
Gon had the brighten plan of going the long way but using the weapons on the wall to get to the short way. We all pressed 'O' and began to hit the wall with the weapons.
"You're a genius Gon!" Killua and I said excited. Kurapika nodded.
"If it wasn't for me, Gon would never have gotten the idea!" Leorio said trying to take Gon's glory.
Gon laughed. "Its no big deal guys!"
We eventually made a hole through the wall and out time was almost up. We looked through it and saw a slide.
"C'mon guys we don't have alot of time left!" Gon said while jumping in and going down the slide. Eventually, we followed after him.
Thankfully we made it just in time before the door was fully closed shut.
"Glad we made it!" Gon sighed in relief.
Kurapika smiled and nodded as so did the rest.
My eyes scanned the room around me, eventually landing on Hisoka. As much as I respect him, I wont let him get his hands on Gon or any of my friends for that matter! Hisoka noticed my glaring and aura spiking. He smirked and was trying to say no by saying his finger towards me.
Beeeeeeeep
"The third phase of the exam is over. Twenty-five applicants has passed including one deceased."
One of the doors opened revealing light from the outside.
"Oh yeah we did it guys, we move onto the next phase!" I shout with excitement, hugging Gon and Killua then onto Leorio and Kurapika. Gon and killua softly blushed at the gesture but quickly recovered by it. We walked out of trick tower to meet up with Lippo.
"Congratulations on escaping trick tower everyone. All that remains now are the fourth phase and the final phase."
"Only two more." Those words escaped from a weird looking guy who kinda resembles a ninja mixed with a monk.
"The fourth phase will take place right over there, on Zevil island." Lippo said with chilling grin on his face and pointing to an island right behind him.
"Now let's proceed." Lippo snapped his fingers and a bold guy rolled in a cart with wheels that is holding a box with a square hole on top.
"To begin with, I will need each of you to draw lots now." A couple of people were confused.
"Draw lots for what, what'll that decide?" A guy with a pink hat questioned. I'm sure that's what everyone wants to know.
"Who will hunt and who will hunt you." Lippo said while chuckling in a evil manner.
"In this box are exactly 24 numbered cards, which means that one of the numbered cards will correspond with your badge. Now each of you will draw a card in the order you exited the tower. All right, which of you was first?" Lippo said while pointing to the box with his hand as if in a gesture of bowing. Everyone looked around to see who was first but to me unsurprisingly saw hisoka walked up to the box first.
Although, beside me I could hear Gon softly gasp. 'Don't worry Gon I swear I can protect you!' I thought to myself while clenching my fist. After Hisoka went, Illumi, for whatever reason was disguised went to collect his card number. Then ninja, bee sting guy with the pipe weapon, then finally Kurapika was up next.
"Hey guys." Gon called out to killua and I, sounding concern.
"Huh?" Killua and I turned towards Gon, giving him our full attention.
"What's wrong Gon?" I asked while feeling concern about Gon.
"He mentioned us hunting and being hunted. Do you guys think that means we're gonna be fighting each other?" Gon questioned while having a worried face.
"Yeah, probably does." Killua was first to answer then walked away, whistling. Although he was calm, he was secretly worried too.
"Don't worry Gon I don't think we'll have to fight our friends." I said smiling even though I wasn't sure myself.
"Your right (Y/n)!" Gon happily smiled. For some strange reason I felt my heart skip a beat but I ignored it for the time being. Killua collected his number while I was talking to Gon, then Gon walked passed me to collect his number as well. I followed after him and received mine.
"Now, I don't know what this is all about, but I know you gotta draw it like you mean it!" Leorio shouted as he grabbed his card, smiling awfully bright even though he was last to get his number badge.
