Time To Change

The scene took place in the royal garden behind the castle. Two children were playing together, one was runing after the other and the other was runing after the first

The first child was a little boy, he was an elf with blond and middle-long hair. He was the prince. Their parents looked at him with love in their eyes principally his mother.

The second child was a girl, she was smaller than the boy, Legorn, because she was human and humans were smaller than elves. But she was very strong and full of energy. She had beautiful short red hair. Her father looked at her too but her mother was not here. She died when Axelle, the young girl was born. Despite this tragedy, Axelle and his father were happy together and they lived stressless thanks to the king and queen's help. The queen was a very good friend of Axelle's mother and she was very sad to hear the news.

Everything was perfect but they didn't knew there will be a big change in their lives.

Legorn's mother died three years later. Her death affected a lot the king who began to fall into a hole and let his son behind him

Fortunately, Axelle was always here for him, for helping him to do his grief.

They grew up together, supported each other in their bad times.

One day, while Legorn was practicing sword in their usual place in the garden, Axelle called him with panic in her eyes. His father wanted to banish all the human beings living in the kingdom. He thought that elves were a superior race. He was losing his head more and more since his wife's death. But she was dead now and the king didn't have the same opinion ... or he didn't have it anymore. Either way, he had never carried humans in his heart, it was his wife, she accepted the lost humans in the kingdom because she wanted to create a united nation with no trouble of race or social rank. Now seeing them was too painful for him. They always reminded him his wife.

« Humans have one week to leave the kingdom or they will be executed. It's the same rule for mixed bloods, only pure blood shall stay. » announced the king.

« It's the panic in town ! We have nowhere to go ! Our houses are here and... Oi ! Legorn ?! Are you listening to me ?

- Yes, yes, sorry Axelle, I am just a little bit stunned, I have to go.

- Legorn ! Where are you going ? Oi ! »

He didn't answer and let her, like that, alone, in the middle of the garden.

It wasn't possible, his father couldn't do that. Axelle's words still echoed in his mind. If he did that, Axelle will leave him, with the others. He couldn't let that happen ! Axelle was the sun in his life, she couldn't go away from him.

He arrived at the throne hall. He came into the room and spread all his rage and anger over his father. First, he became greedy, then he raised taxes but just for humans. That way, as his treasure grown, his army did as well.

« Population is starving because of your stupid taxes and you, you drive 40% of the population to exile who have nowhere to go just like that? Just because you want ? You are even crazier than i thought! » Said Legorn with rage.

The king looked at him like he was nobody and ordered to brought out him.

Legorn was thrown out and at that time he realized that if he wanted the situation to change, he had to act. He had to take arms and he knew exactly where to go.

He arrived in front of a forge and when he entered, Axelle looked at him with angry in her eyes.

« Did you come to apologise ?

- Oh yes I am sorry Axelle, I was just shocked by the news you told me so I left because I wanted to talk with my dad.

- Oh ok, I see. So if you are here it means that your father kicked you out.
