Olivia looked across the oceana nd felt a burden lifting off her chest. It was like what freedom felt to her, she thought. No more people telling her what to do and what to be, how to live her life when she just felt useless and... Like nothing. Hollow was the best way to describe it. But they're all gone now. Away from her vision and her mind when she goes to the beach to clear her mind.

While many prefer the beach on a sunny day, when the sand is warm under their toes as they enjoy the morning sun, Olivia preferred visiting the sea on it's colder hours, where people are abundant and all she could hear is silence. Much more than the silence, she enjoys the sun setting into its oranges and reds and yellows, and as hours went by, the night's blue turning into shades of lapis blue with swatches of purple and dots of sparkling stars, what everyone else was missing.

That day, she came to see the sky staying still, the clouds blending into a block of gray. Nevertheless, it looked breathtaking to her and that was all she cared about as she stared into the curling waves of the ocean.

She heard footsteps into the quiet, something she rarely heard. Snapping out of her reverie, she turned around to meet the eyes of a tall, sleek brunette walking towards her. The brunette gave an eye-scrunching smile and sat down next to her, not saying a word. Olivia froze, her heart beating rapidly against her chest. The brunette looked back at the ocean, smiling softly as she did. Olivia did the same, ignoring the fluttering feeling in her heart with a frown.

This happened daily, neither of them saying anything. It was a weird interaction, but both of them liked it and that's all they needed.

Olivia was confused to see a beach without the brunette one day. The sky was gray again, the clouds staring calmly from above. The brunette was missing this. She never came even as the sky darkened. It couldn't be. Olivia found herself waiting, waiting and waiting for nights and days. Even after knowing she might never come back she kept waiting. Even after knowing she had to take care of herself she had to wait

Waiting.

Waiting.

Waiting.
