Saturday 29th December

"You already know about that dipshit stalker, right?" The boy said as he fiddled with the sleeves of his jacket. "I do. In fact, I knew about it a few years ago" The man replied. The boy frowned "Wait, hold up. He's been stalking him for how long now??"

The man made a 'hmm' sound before he responded "Let's say..approximately three years"

The boy shook his head in disbelief. "So, let me get this straight. This loving...what, creep, has been stalking this guy for roughly three years?" The man nodded. "Well..what are you gonna do about it?" The boy asked "Just letting him be, will mess up your plans wouldn't it? Let me knock him out, will ya?"

The man shook his head "There is no need. The boy's stalker will certainly play a role in my plan. We just have to remain looking oblivious, that's all. When the time is needed, we will surely confront him. Remember, timing is everything" He said.

The only thing the boy did in response was roll his eyes.

[YESTERDAY//REWIND]

"It's him again.." He growled under his breath as he crept closer. "Thanks again, Crepuscular" Omen smiled. The supposed Crepuscular returned a small smile and told him that it was no problem.

He clenched his fist, but soon let it go as soon as he saw his senpai's smile. "If only the owner of that sweet smile belonged to me" he mumbled.

They both hopped into a car and soon drove off. This didn't worry him of course. He had other ways to follow him. He ran back into Corrival academy and opened his laptop.

He had hacked into Roarhaven's cameras with help from a friend of his. There he saw the car Omen was in, pull to a stop in front of an apartment. A good looking one at least. The supposed Crepuscular and Omen left the car. Out from the apartment came a boy with freckles and black wavy hair, about the same age as Omen himself.

"I better not have any goddamn competition" the watcher (ahem, stalker) growled as he saw the freckled boy approach them.

"Who is this?" The freckled boy asked as he eyed Omen suspiciously. "Uh..hi.my name's Omen. How are you..uh..?" Omen responded.

"Marksim" The freckled boy stated. But before Omen could say another word he simply left.

"Don't take it personal. He's like that with everyone" Crepuscular assured. Omen nodded as he followed the taller man into the apartment. The watcher could no longer see them through the cameras.

[CONTINUE REWIND//STILL YESTERDAY🔝]

"So..this is your home?" Omen inquired as he followed Crepuscular into the apartment. "No" He bluntly answered.

Omen frowned "No?"

Crepuscular shook his head "No" he repeated. Omen caught up with his pace "So..what are we doing here? Are we meeting someone?" Crepuscular shook his head once more and repeated his answer.

"So..why are we here?" Omen questioned. Crepuscular glanced at him, contemplating whether or not to tell him he was being stalked.

"Christmas was rather chaotic wasn't it?" He said as he changed the subject "Everyone here and there. Then you had your brother kidnapped and such. Heh, that cleaver idea really was smart"

Omen smiled nervously as he was flattered by the compliment. But the mention of his brother appeared to slightly bring him down. "Auger will be ok, Omen. I'm sure of it. Don't lose hope" Crepuscular comforted as he saw Omen's slight mood change.

"Thanks, you always know what to say" Omen said as he smiled at him. Crepuscular nodded and they both pulled to a stop before a fence.

"Huh? What are we doing here?" Omen asked before the boy known as Marksim popped up behind him "Boo"

Startled, Omen involuntary took a few steps back, but tripped himself and fell on the ground. "Ouch.." he mumbled. Marksim, on the other hand, snickered. "You should've seen that coming. Aren't you a brother of Aug-ack!" He began saying before being hit on the head by Crepuscular.

"My apologies, but instead of attempting to scare our guest away, why don't we treat him like one?" He said as he lent out a hand to Omen.

"Sure" Marksim replied sarcastically. "So, we going to your place?"

Crepuscular nodded and Marksim put a hand on Omen's shoulder, and grasped Crepuscular's arm.

Only, a mere second later, Omen found himself in a stylish living room. He froze from shock. Did Marksim..did Marksim just teleport all three of them?

"That I just did. I just teleported the three of us" Marksim spoke proudly as if he had read Omen's mind. "S-seriously..? But..how..?" Omen began saying. Sure, Corrival Academy wasn't the only sorcerer school there was. But it was the only school with teleporters. No, screw that. The only place with trained teleporters.

So, how did Marksim do that?

"Magic" Marksim said, replying to Omen's previous question. "Aren't you a sorcerer yourself? Don't look too surprised for goodness sake" Omen nodded, for he already knew that part, but he found himself getting flustered due to the embarrassment. It was like Marksim was referring to Omen as a five-year-old. Or with the mind of a five-year-old.

"Don't be so harsh now, Marksim. He has plenty of reason to be shocked right now. For one, you just teleported us, when there were only a handful of people who can do so, and they are all recognised at Corrival Academy. I don't recall you being a student there" Crepuscular stated.

Omen expected for some smart ass response but this time, Marksim kept his mouth shut and left.

Crepuscular turned to Omen "Remember how over the phone, we agreed that you lived here from now on?"

"Yes"

"And you mentioned that you had your school to rely on, correct?"

Omen nodded, and Crepuscular continued "Well-and I really am sorry to say this-but..they've.. already expelled you "

Omen blinked before the realisation hit him "Wait..th-they've kicked me out? O-out of the school? Already?"

"I'm afraid so"

"How do you know that??"

Crepuscular pulled out a newspaper and gave it to him. On the first page, the headline read:

-Omen Darkly runs away from home, and is no longer welcomed at Corrival Academy. How long before he confess his attempt murder?-

Omen bottom lip slightly quivered as he handed the newspaper back to Crepuscular. On the nearest couch, he collapsed on it.

"Omen? Omen, are you alright?" Came Crepuscular's concerned voice. "Yeah, I am" Omen replied "It's just..I didn't do that to him. I wouldn't even dream of it, and yet no one.."

Crepuscular placed a hand on Omen's shoulder "Don't worry, Omen. If we believe, you didn't do it, then surely other people believes the same"

"We?" Omen arched an eyebrow as he said this.

"Yes, we. Me and Marksim. I know he may have given you a bad 'first time impression' but I assure you, he just needs to get out of his protective shell, every once in a while. He likewise isn't one to listen to rumours"

Omen nodded in understanding as he began to feel a little better.

"So, since I have my whole schedules cleared now..." Crepuscular voice trailed off.

"Go on" nagged Omen, as he was now too intrigued in what Crepuscular had to say.

"Would you like to accompany me as I investigate in a new case?"

"Sounds..cool, I guess. What's the case about?"

Crepuscular took a second before saying "It's about your brother. I want to know who really harmed him"

Omen didn't know what to say, so he kept quiet "Apologies. Too soon?" Crepuscular asked which snapped him back into reality.

"Oh, no, no..it's just that..I'm a bit speechless really" He said "I guess..but..why? It's not like I'm going to jail. Sure, there's no evidence that proves I'm innocent, but there's also no evidence that proves I'm guilty. So, they can't take me to jail"

Crepuscular raised an eyebrow. But before he could speak, a new person spoke up "Don't you want to capture the one who really did this? It's his fault for dragging you into this mess. Don't you want that?" It was Marksim who had asked this.

"I just want my brother to wake up" and that response alone gained the silence from everyone.

[BACK TO PRESENT // SUNDAY 29TH DECEMBER]

"That brat sure is forgiving ain't he?" The boy said as he swinged on his chair. The man briefly nodded, far too deep into his thoughts. Perhaps, he should've suggested something else back then.

"Although, I wouldn't exactly say he's a brat" the boy continued "He's really nice. Like, way too nice. Almost makes it suspicious.."

Again, the man merely nodded.

"You reckon he has some secret dark motives no one knows about?"

The man, still preoccupied, nodded.

"You reckon you're an idiot?"

The man nodded once more.

"Can I take your credit card?"

The man nodded as the boy opened a drawer, grabbed the man's wallet and took his credit card. "Gee, thanks. This could last me a lifetime. See ya" The boy said as he walked away.

"Too easy" He snickered as he arrived at an expensive restaurant. There he was being served by a girl around his age. She seemed really nice and was complimenting the boy. He flushed red each time she hit on him.

After he ate, the same girl came with his bill. "Here's your bill" She smiled sweetly. The boy nodded, still red, as he grabbed the bill "I-It'll be pay pass, thanks.." The boy replied.

The girl, still smiling, took out the 'tap & go' item, and handed it out to him. The boy took out the credit card and tapped it.

Decline, it said. The boy did it numerous times, and the girl's smile faltered. "Shit" The boy mumbled under his breath "Fuck, I can't use magic here..ugh" By now, a man was coming out, looking pissed as ever.

Meanwhile, the man was sipping some tea as he looked out the window on his left. "He took the wrong one" he smirked as he held out the actual credit card between his centre and index fingers. "Should I help him?" He asked himself. Silenced followed..

"Nah" he decided as he sipped some more tea.
