Preeta hugged him tightly and started crying inconsolably. Karan initially got shocked with the hug as it was first time ever she hugged him. He then realized that she was seeking peace and calmness in his arms as she was hurt, and in pain. He hugged her back with one hand around her and other stroking her hair gently. She hugged him more tightly digging her face in his chest with tears continuously falling off her eyes.
Karan: (caressing her hair) shaant hojao preeta, you're safe now, mein hoon na tumhare saath ab Tumhe Kuch nhi hone dunga.
Preeta got calmed a bit and broke the hug. Karan cupped her face and wiped her tears.
Karan: Tumhe kahin lagi to nhi? (He held her hand and saw some red marks, he moved his thumb gently on her hand, a tear drop fell off her eyes but Karan wiped it)
Karan: rou Mt preeta, mujhe Acha nhi lgrha please, I promise ab se Tumhe Kuch nhi hone dunga mein.
Preeta nodded and looked at him.
Preeta: (worriedly) yeh... Yeh kiya hua tumhe.... (Slightly touched the corner of his lips which bled)
Karan: arey yeh lg gya Hoga bs... Tum iski chinta Mt kro yh theek hojayga.
He saw the car coming...
Karan: lo gaari aagai.. chalo ghr chalte hain.
Both sat in the car and went to home.
Late At night...
Both Karan and preeta were laying on the bed on their own sides. Preeta was staring at the ceiling recalling what had happened, a tear drop fell from her eyes. Karan noticed it and moved his hand wiping her tears. Preeta looked at him. He was about to take his hand away but preeta held his hand close to her. She closed her eyes, Karan caressed her hair and soon she drifted off to sleep. Karan kissed her forehead and slept taking her in his embrace. . . .
Next day the preparations for reception party were in full swing... The house was decorated beautifully... Guests started arriving...
