chapter twelve - the pregnancy of the twins

I wake up entwined it Christians arms and I kiss his forehead and he wakes up and he says " morning, beautiful wife "
I smile and head for the bathroom and I sit there on the toilet and I think this is the best life ever I have a handsome husband and a amazing daughter and also two baby girls on the way .
Christian wakes me from my thoughts and says " you ok ana "
I say " yeah I'm fine "
He says " you sure ana "
I open the door and say " Christian will you stop worrying I'm ok you will have a heart attack at 30 if you carry on "
He looks insulted he comes into the bathroom and starts brushing his teeth and then gets in the shower and I walk out put my silk robe on and go to get breakfast Gail says " tea and toast Mrs grey "
I say " yes thanks Gail "
She makes my food and I eat he is still not out the shower so I carry on my normal routine as usual getting ready and I go upstairs and I go speak to Phoebe and she says she is going to meet me at the doctor's office I go backupstairs and I see Christian eating and I walk past him and I go get my heels I think to myself right I'm wearing a white top and a  black skirt so grey heels will do. I get the car keys and I say to Christian " I'm going to my office for a bit I'm taking your car "
He nods and walks over to be and takes my head in his hands and says " be safe  " in a stern voice
I walk away. I get to work in not time I walk into my office and I log into my computer and I get my first call it's from Mia .
A:" hey Mia "
M:" hey are you and Christian ok "
A:" Mia "
M:" you wanna meet up babe "
A :" yeah that would be great meet you at Starbucks in 20 mins "
The call ends
And I pack up my stuff and head for Starbucks in my car I get there early and I walk up and say " I'm Mrs grey and I would like a flat white coffee and a matcha iced green tea no coffee please and I would like it immediately "
I go take a seat and the man comes over with the drinks and he says " hey your cute
Can I get your number "
I roll my eyes and say " I'm married " I how his my rings " stop trying to flit with married women "
He walks away swiftly and Mia walks in and walks fast over to me and says " Anastasia speak now "
A :" well ever scince  Theo's death he has been so distracted and he barely says two words to me "
M:" ana , listen he doesn't have an excuse to be like this Theo has been gone nearly 3 years  and he needs to grow the fuck up "
A:" he hasn't asked me about my 8 month  scan today I think he forgot"
M:" I'll come with you babe if he won't be there for you I will "
A :" well it's I 10 mins so we will take my car "
We get there we take pheobe into the room and I lay down on the bed and Dr greane puts the probe on and she says " well everything looks ok  will your husband be joining us "
I shake my head and we get ready to leave and I start to walk out first and my mum is there she notices my belly and Mia steps Infront of me and she says is a very low but stern voice " get the fuck out of here now before I  call Christian and then you will regret it ".
She walks away with tears in her eyes and then we go back to my place and Phoebe goes to to hers and me and Mia go to speak to Christian but he isn't there he is at work so I say " Mia , do you want tea"
She says " yeah sure ana "
I make the tea and I just grab a glass of water for me I pass the hot tea to Mia and Christian walks in and says " I'm home "
Mia starts to stand up and I put my hand out to stop her I say " Christian what the fuck "
C:" what I just said I'm home "
M:" you missed her appointment and you have been distanced"
C:" is everything ok with the babies"
A :" yes there fine but you would know that if you were there " I feel a tear fall down my face Mia stands up and this time I don't stop her she she wipes the tear away from my face and she goes into the other room.
C:" I'm sorry I missed it but I had a meeting to attend to "
A :" so work is more important than me and the kids " I fall to the ground crying and he drops his stuff And rushes over to me he sits on the floor  and he pulls me close and he wispers into my ear gently" I'm sorry baby "
He picks me up and he heads towards the counter and he grabs me water and says " here "
I put the glass down and hug him so tight he says " ana "
I say " sorry "
He hugs me back and says " it's fine weeds Mia "
I shout at the top of my lungs " MIA "
She walks back in and says " is it sorted out babe "
I nod my head and she says " if it wasn't I would beat him until he gives you an opology " we giggle for a while and then Mia heads home .
I go get an silk robe on and I try to put my slippers on but I can't reach I walk into the kitchen and I see Gail and I say " Gail can you please help me out with my slippers"
She says " yes sure mrs grey "
She slides them on and I say " thanks Gail "
Christian comes up behind me and says " hey beautiful"
I say " hi "
He says " drink ?"
I nod my head and he passed me a bottle of flavoured water . I drink it and we go sit on the sofa together and watch a film . At around 11 pm we head to bed I kick my slippers of because it's easier and I climb into the bed and fall asleep I don't remember him getting in .
