Dexter, Cerise, Maddie and Hopper were sitting in a lake.
"Aw, sweet!" Hopper said, laying all the way down on the lake with his hands behind his head. "This is the life."
Cerise frowned as she pulled her wet cape out of the lake. "Ew," she said. She quickly jumped out of the lake.
Dexter was sitting there with no glasses. He couldn't see. He tried to get up, but he slipped and landed on his back. "I can't see," he said. "I need my glasses!"
Maddie laughed as she swam like jellyfish around the lake. "He's as blind as a bat when he has no glasses," she said.
Dexter was always complaining why he didn't have a charm like his siblings did. He was unaware that he did have a charm. It just wasn't effective with his glasses.
But now he was dumbfounded to see Cerise staring at him like a hawk. Then suddenly she fell to the floor.
"Cerise!" he shouted. Dexter jumped out of the lake to help her.
Maddie was standing right next to her by the time he got to Cerise. "Go Dexter! You actually made a girl faint like Daring!" Maddie cheered.
Dexter laughed out loud. "Me? Ha, nice try, Maddie. The time I make someone faint is the time I give them tear gas."
Maddie frowned."If a squirrel eats acorns and never a steak, how much water fills up a lake?"
Dexter and Hopper stared at her, confused. "If.. if a sq- ah!" Hopper cried. He transformed into a frog, splashing into the water.
"If Daring and Darling have charms, then you have one, too! You're a Charming!!" Dexter stroked his chin in thought.
"How come it's not working for you?" he asked. Maddie took the teacup from her head and said, "I fall for tea, not boys." She sipped the tea and then fell to the ground. Cerise got up. She stretched and scratched her head.
Dexter shook his head. "Well, what about those Bookish guys?' he said, covering his eyes.
"I don't know," Cerise said. "What if we can't find the book? They might take it back." Dexter sighed. He wanted to sign. But he didn't want to sign.
He wanted to have a damsel, but he wanted it to be true love. "Then that will be that. But we have to find it. Our stories might go poof."
"Or we can just rewrite them,"Maddie said. Dexter rolled his eyes since they were concealed by his hand. "How are we gonna do that without the book?"
Maddie smiled. "Follow me and you will see what awaits." Maddie ran past the lake and down the forest. Cerise grabbed Hopper and ran with Dexter.
They finally reached the edge of the forest. Maddie was about to exit the forest when she hit something and fell.
Cerise, Hopper and Dexter all went to her. "Maddie!" They shouted. "Are you alright?" Maddie nodded and jumped up. "Let's just get that-" she fell again.
Dexter reached his hand out. It touched a solid. It was a transparent wall.
