"You always seek morale within the stories you read yet you never apply them in reality."
I was cut off of my daydreaming when my friend, Elliana sat across my desk. She crossed her legs and started to blabber about how I never cease to learn after so many instances like this. I gazed upon her face and carefully listened to what she had to say.
"I warned you about Draven's infidelities before yet you never took my advice seriously and now look, what happened?"
I was still too miserable to accept all her nagging but I tried to listen, after all, she was correct about my unfaithful ex-boyfriend.
"I hate to break this up to you but you're starting to look pathetic. You need to take a break from this mess! Go on a holiday or something. Otherwise, you may not be able to fix yourself up." She whispered enough for me to hear.
As bad as it may sound, she had a point. I really did look like a mess. I didn't brush my hair this morning, didn't wear any makeup and I'm pretty sure my clothes aren't all that fashionable either.
"I'd love to, but I can't bring myself to do something like that," I muttered underneath my breath.
She just smirked at me and said
"Leave it to me then."
