"MORIIII!!" You shout from the bottom of the staircase, cupping your hands over your mouth.

"If you make me late to my first day of highschool, I will kill you!" You nagged as he jostled down the stairs.

"All you do is whine Y/n-Chan." He teased, poking your side.

You handed him a piece of toast with jelly on it. He stuffed it in his mouth and wiped the crumbs on his shirt while you grumbled out an 'ew'.

"Whatever. At least I'M not late to things and I'm orderly." You sneered, shoving your shoes on.

"Hmph" he pouted, looking away from you and shoving his shoes on too.

Walking out the door with your older brother, Yaku Morisuke, in tow. You both head to your school, Nekoma High.

Bouncing with every step you take, you pull out your phone, scrolling through your social medias, really just trying to kill time as you make your way to your school.

You were practically shaking with anticipation. You were going to be a first year! Not a middle schooler anymore. The idea is so foreign to you. The only downside is that you'll have to deal with your overbearing, overprotective, and overly annoying big brother. While it is nice to feel safe around him, Yaku can be an ass of a brother when he wants to. He insults the short stature you both inherited from your parents all the time. It doesn't even make sense because he's not that much taller than you. It's so annoying.

Spotting the gates of Nekoma, you start to speed walk, jog, then run. You're practically sprinting down the concrete and brick pathways as Yaku yells at you to slow down.

Pushing open the school doors, you deeply inhale to calm yourself down a bit and catch your breath. Looking over at the signs in front of where you entered the school you read them.

There was also stacks of papers that had students names on them sprawled out on several tables.

Strolling over to the table that had a giant '1st year' sign, you search for your name intently.

'Y/n Yaku, Y/n Yaku, Y/n Yaku, Y/n Yak-  here!'

You grab your sheet of paper and read what classroom you belonged to.

'Class 1-3'

You looked back up at the signs.

The first year sign pointed to another sign that held more arrows, connecting to more signs and more arrows.

You quickly follow them and the other students who also seem to be first years to separate hallways and classrooms.

You search with a strong sense of determination for your classroom, bumping into people on your trek through the hallways.

'1-1'

'1-2'

'1-3.'

Gripping onto your bag, you stand in front of the closed door and took a quick breather. You have to make a good impression. Don't want to mess it up.

"Why are you standing in the middle of the doorway shortie?"

Your eyes fly open and you panic when you see the classroom door slid wide open with someone standing in front of you. You slowly look up to him, his emerald colored eyes stare at you with a burning intensity. Almost cat like, funny considering the school you were attending. A smile breaks out on his face, making his eyes close, before he bows down and practically shouts.

"Hello! My name is Haiba Lev, but you can just call me Lev." He peeks back up at you, still with a contagious smile.

Giggling at his bubbly behavior, you in turn bow down a bit before introducing yourself.

"I'm Yaku Y/n. You can call me whatever you want. I don't care."

"That's a pretty name! Just like you!"

Your heart pounds wildly in your rib cage while your face turns a scarlet hue. You calm yourself down a bit with a few short breaths. Gathering up the courage to raise yourself back up to look at the tall boy, you cock your head a bit at the color of his side parted hair. It's a light metallic grey. Very odd for a natural color.

"You're wondering about my hair right? Yeah, it's natural. Cool right?" He scratches the back of his head and gives you another cute smile, making your heart skip a beat this time.

"Y-Yeah....uhm, I'm just going to go to my desk now hehe..." You awkwardly giggle before squeezing past him, trying to locate the teacher in the room.

'Did my heart really just skip a beat?'

'I thought that only happens in romance shows!'

'Calm down.'

You spot the teacher. Walking over to her, you state your name and she points to a desk in the back corner of the room beside a window.

Making your way over to the two desks pushed together, you notice that somebody's stuff is already there on the desk next to yours. You hang your backpack on the back of your chair before pulling it out and plopping down in it. You lean your head on your propped up hand and you look out the window.

It started raining.

You stare at the clouds, spacing out into your own little world. It wasn't supposed to rain today. Whatever. Nothing you can fix. Noticing the clouds are the same color as Lev's hair, you blush a bit.

'Stop thinking about him. He probably doesn't care for you. You're only a classmate.'

The pattering rain against the window created a soothing ambience in the bubbly classroom. You stare at the glass and watch as one water droplet races another one down the window. You cheer for the one on the right in your head before whispering a quiet "yay" once it wins.

"What did you say?" You turn your head a bit before jumping up in your seat and catching yourself before you fell backwards. Lev was sitting there in the desk next to yours, a small smile gracing his face.

You didn't even notice him.

"NOTHING!" You shout out, glancing at the teacher who cleared her throat at you, signaling you to quiet down.

"Nothing." You whisper, looking down in you lap.

"You're kinda funny!" he laughs a bit "I'm glad we get to sit next to each other Y/n-Chan."

Your face flushed and you looked away from him.

"Goddamn cute people." You muttered below your breath, trying to fan off your face discretely.

"What was that?" He leaned over, cupping a hand over his ear.

"NOTHING!" You shout out again.

"Mrs. Yaku, I suggest you stop with the yelling! You wouldn't want detention on the first day of high school now do you?" Your teacher shouted, the class giggling a bit.

"No Ma'am." You stand up and quickly bow before sitting back down, your face now tomato red.

"You're blushing~" You felt your cheek being poked several times by a grey headed individual. "It's cute!"

"No I'm not." You smack his hand away before glancing back at the window, drowning out the teachers words.

'He's a handful'

'This year is going to be a hard one with him right next to me huh?'

Smiling to yourself you close your eyes for a moment.

'Maybe it'll be nice'
