Len opens the door slightly and greets me. "Len, are you okay? I heard this sort of whimpering sound when I was walking through," I ask, worry filling my voice. "No," he answers, slamming the door shut. Okay then. I head back down stairs to see if everyone else showed up, which they did.
During the party, we swam in the gigantic pool, chased each other around with water balloons, and did other party activities. Everyone was having a good time, well except Len. The whole time he'd just sit and watch me. A few times I'd see him writing stuff down in a notebook, or get up and go into the house, then come back a few minutes later.
After it got dark out and everyone is starting to get tired, we all sat around a nice fire, roasting marshmallows. It was a nice, calm atmosphere when we talk quietly to our neighbors and munch on our sticky treats. As I talk to Luka, I glance over at Len, who sits across the fire from me. I can see jealousy and hate in his eyes as he glares at my pink haired friend. Is he mad that I've been hanging out with her instead of him? He is odd.
"Okay guys, it's the time that we've all been waiting for!" run jumps up from her spot. She hands a hand out and a butler comes and places a hat in her hand. "Because each tent could hold only three people, but there are 14 of us here, only one tent will be shared by two," she announces. We all look at each other, picking who we want to share a tent with, but that was ruined.
"In this hat are names. I will chose a random name so there won't be any fights with who wants to be with who." We all sigh in disappointment, except for her and her brother. "In the first tent..." she sticks her hand in and pulls out three slips of paper, "KAITO, Luka, and Ritsu."
After a few more minutes of name picking, there were five of us left and two tents. She sticks her hand in for the last time, and pulls out three slips. "Miku, Yumma, and Kailo." Miku's jaw dropped. "No! I don't want to be the only girl!" Kailo jumps up and points at her, "I'm not staying in a tent with that annoying bastard!" Yumma sighs and rolls his eyes, "Come on you two, it's just for one night." "Plus I also have to share a tent with two boys, and I'm not complaining," Luka says.
"Guys, it's time to get some sleep!" Rin interrupts the fighting. As everyone gets up and goes to their tent, Rin walks over to me. "Sorry, (y/n). It looks like you're stuck with my brother." I sigh, "It's fine. This is just for one night, right? It's not like I'm going to be stuck with him forever."
