It was a beautiful sunny day in Owari. A year had passed since the farewell between Takuto Shindou and Okatsu. Autumn had arrived, the trees were colored with various shades of yellow, brown and red, some types of flowers were decaying and the air was starting to get cold.

Okatsu continued to work with her mother and her brother Tasuke. Despite this, she could not forget that boy she had known in that spring and for whom she felt a strong affection. When the memories resurfaced in her mind she felt some sort of chest pain, it was a feeling of bitterness and regret.

If at that moment she had told him how she really felt, would something have changed? Of course not, that's what she thought. It was better to keep quiet, leave him in ignorance, it would be less painful for both of them. Yet from that day on this feeling of sadness was constant but she had to go on.

It was a day like any other when Okatsu accompanied her mother to buy tofu ingredients. Once she left the store, a strange boy stopped her.

"Miss, do you have a minute?"

She turned to the stranger. His face was covered with a kind of turban and the only thing she noticed was the boy's ice-colored eyes and very light skin.

"Yeah, is something wrong?"

"I'm just a traveler making jewelry. I notice you're a very modest girl."

"How exactly do you know?"

She didn't trust strangers very much, and it was kind of weird, this guy who was just being so smooth.

"I'd say it's instinct, a lot of things you can see on the fly."

The boy put his hand to a bag and took out a precious stone with an intense and bright yellow color. It seemed to shine like the light of a thousand suns and seemed to transmit an invigorating energy.

"This stone is called imperial topaz, it is a crystal linked to truth and the ability to forgive. It is a symbol of chastity, happiness, true friendship and hope. It helps the wearer to find their purpose in life, to be more aware of their thoughts, feelings and actions. And he grants every desire of the heart." said the boy.

"Really?"

She was very fascinated by that crystal, seemed to give her positive energy and she felt good humor in just looking at it.

"Certainly. It is believed that this crystal is extremely energizing, being a hot stone. It promotes creativity, and it brings a sense of trust and protection."

Okatsu, however, returned to reality, it was impossible for her to buy something like this. She knew that precious stones were immensely expensive, even if she worked a life, she couldn't have all that money. She didn't have to take it.

"I'm sorry, I can't afford it."

"I don't want to sell it, you can have it without paying." he put the stone around her neck.

She was hesitant, she wasn't sure she could accept but the boy insisted again and again. She decided to surrender and accept.

"Thank you so much, I really don't know how to thank you." she said grateful.

"Trust me, you will repay in due time."

That boy's quote sounded very strange, but she didn't pay much attention. At that moment her mother called her and when Okatsu turned to thank the boy, the latter was gone.

That night Okatsu thought of the boy's words.

"... and grant every desire of the heart..."

And if that's true? She kept looking at that stone that was also shining in the darkness. She took it in his hands and expressed the one thing she wanted from the bottom of her heart. She just wanted to see Takuto-sama again and wanted to be as strong as he was. She smiled at herself before falling asleep.

The next day a scream woke the young girl who opened her eyes snap. Another scream followed the first. Okatsu's room had changed. The walls were pastel pink, the floor was made of polished wood and it was full of modern objects that she had never seen in her life.

She went downstairs and saw her mother and brother looking around in a daze and confusion. Their house had literally changed. It had become a modern home. Once the windows opened, they saw that the world around them had also changed completely. Yes, the young girl's wish had come true.
