A BOY'S LIPS AREN'T SO BAD AFTER ALL.

Novaly
"A Halloween party." Were the only words I got when Anna came by to sit next to me on the bench that stood outside.

"Well hello to you too Anna," I sarcastically answered with a smile as she sighed and hugged me flashily.

"Bryce said he was organizing a costume party for Halloween! And he invited me and said I could invite whoever I wanted!" She explained as I frowned.

"Anna, September isn't even done yet and you're already planning for Halloween?" I saw a flash of disappointment in my friend's eyes which made me go back on my answer.

"Well, I mean yes we could go it's just a bit early for that but yeah, I guess I say why don't we go," a ghost of a smile played on my lips as she let out an excited scream and fully smiled.

I loved this part of Anna. Well, I loved every sides of my best friend. But this whole 'excited for nothing' one made me happy.

She knew that if she wasn't there I would already be in a deep depression when my parents died, I didn't have anyone but her and she stood by, despite all the tears I cried.

I was always grateful for her, and I hoped she knew this.
Whatever the mood I was in, she would stand here and smile until I smiled too. And that was what friends were for right?

The first two classes were pretty cool. Maths and arts. Our math teacher might have been monotone and boring, but I loved mathematics so it was making it cool.

I was getting ready for English after that, for 2 hours. 120 long minutes of listening to Mr.Parker and his monologue about Shakespeare. I didn't get why we had this subject every single day but maths only 3 or 4 times a week.

Well, you guessed that I'm not too hyped about the English class.
Not. At. all.

"So Novaly, you ready for English class?" Anna asked in a grin accompanied by a slight chuckle.

I groaned and rolled over the bench, theatrically falling on the ground, which made Anna burst out into laughter.

When she finally calmed her laughs down, I stood on my feet and saw a mischievous gaze flash through her eyes.

"What if," she started in a hushed tone, "what if we skip school for today?"
My eyes widened. "You mean, you want to ditch school?" I asked in a whisper as she contented herself with a shrug and a grin.

I smiled and grabbed my stuff.

No need to say anything else. I'm convinced.

this day was about to get way better, a feeling I stood sure about.

As I finished gathering my books, I took the exit to the school's parking followed by Anna when I saw something, someone, Moving behind the shadow of a tree by the parking.

I tried to slightly move my head without Anna noticing me.

The person was standing still, not moving nor talking. The person, man apparently, was all dressed in black. From the large black waisted jeans to the black wool sweater above a white shirt.

a stranger wouldn't have recognized the body behind the tree, but this wasn't a random glare my eyes locked into.

it was a deep and, at the moment, a light blue stare, a pair of feminine eyes and long dark lashes.

Ander.

I shook my head at the thought of what he was doing there and followed Anna into her car.

I said I would ignore him, and I was just about to do so.

''So, where should we go?'' Anna asked me as I shrugged and smiled at her back, buckling my security belt.

''I say we get to the mall, buy stuff for the apartment, new clothes, get coffee,'' I suggested making her smile.

A few months ago, I would've never proposed going shopping nor doing anything.
Every single activity my friends tried to get me into reminded me of my parents.

I saw their faces everywhere I would go out. The only place I didn't have memories of them was in our apartment, accompanied with alcohol and a huge blanket, headphones on.

A while before, Anna didn't' know how to help anymore, which I was blaming my own self for. I wasn't pushing her away, I enjoyed her comforting hugs, but she didn't like seeing me in this depression.

I shook my head again, clearing these thoughts out of my mind. Also clearing the thoughts of why Ander was hiding behind that tree.

After what felt like an eternity, Anna and I crashed on the Starbucks' chairs, letting out an exhausted breathe. The car was full of bags from different stores as we were about to order our drinks.

Axel was there. Well, it was no surprise to see him working. He stood behind his order counter. Axel wore a white long-sleeve buttoned shirt under his green apron tied around his waistline. I drew him a smile as he returned it, his eyes lightening up with a joyful expression.

''Hey Axel, the same thing as always please,'' I asked as he mimicked gun with his fingers pointing towards me. '' I got you Nova! By the way, why didn't you text me?'' his voice seemed a bit offended, even though his question didn't sound like so.

I looked down at my feet in guiltiness. I totally forgot about texting him with all the hospital thing.

''Umm yeah sorry I got a bit busy but I'll try to text you soon I promise'' I flashed a smile as he handed me my drink.

'' It's fine no worries I was just wondering,'' Axel answered and, without any notice, he bended over the counter and slightly kissed my cheek, making me blush all over like a tomato.

I got to my table and waited for anna to get her drink. I couldn't believe Axel just kissed my cheek. But I could even less believe that I liked it. His lips felt soft on my cheeks as he did. I smiled and promised myself to text him, what could end badly anyway?

I glared outside, still having my head light and high in the clouds, from the large window while Anna was chatting with Axel at the counter. Some ladies were walking their pets around the lake as others were playing with their kids in the park placed beside the pond.

my eyes widened as I crossed Ander's.

Again?!

He was leaning on an all black Harley, arms crossed, eyes wrinkled staring right towards my direction.

What was that guy's problem?
He was clearly following me since...I didn't even know since when!

I grabbed my bag and told Anna that I would be right back. I gathered my courage and sucked in a long breath before leaving the cafe.

Walking straight to where I saw Ander, I gasped in shock when I saw nothing. No motorcycle, no Ander standing against it.

I started breathing heavier in shock. I was sure I saw him there looking at me.

I wasn't becoming crazy.
I had seen him through the window.

''Searching for me?'' a deep, low voice raised behind me, just above my ear. I let out a small scream.

I let out a small scream
