"Ah, it lasted so short! I wish it stayed like that all night." You whined up to the sky as if it could summon the magical blood moon again. Satan only let out a soft chuckle in response, because you had been repeating that same line since the blood moon disappeared.
You were both out in the twilight, just after witnessing the Devildom moon at its largest. As far as you knew, you didn't share the same Moon, thus the phenomena here were much different and more magical than anything seen on Earth! Your mouth was gaping the whole time and your eyes wide as saucers as if hypnotised by the scarlet splendour! Though considering the Devildom's mysteries, that seemed possible.
"Thanks again for bringing me out here, Satan," you said, eyes still up in the dark clouds. "I've never seen anything so breathtakingly eerie."
"How ironic," came Satan's voice, layered with curiosity. "It's a shame you didn't have the full experience though." His lips curled in an obscure smile, before it faltered. "By the way, you made sure not to let Lucifer know you're out here, right?"
"Yeah." Your head swung to see him, tilting. "What's up with that?"
"Haha, well..." He rubbed his neck and looked away. "He might not let you out since night time at the Devildom is no time for humans to be about."
"What do you mean?"
"Demons like us may not harm you, but others would find any chance to scare you, or worse, eat you."
You went silent. It's not like you didn't know that. But to hear that while you're calmly traipsing on the streets of the Devildom at midnight felt unsettling.
Concerned by the silence, Satan faced you, only to find mild unease in your expression. "Pff..."
"Hey! Why are you laughing?" You felt heat in your cheeks as you lightly punched Satan on the shoulder.
The demon clutched his shoulder but it didn't stop him chuckling. "Wow, you've been living with the most powerful and elite demons of the Devildom and had been facing death a few times now, yet you still get scared like this."
