Something New//Nate Maloley Fanfic

*The next afternoon*
Today was my first day of college and it wasn't that bad surprisingly. I'm studying to be a biomedical engineer and I met two really nice girls named Maggie and Taylor. We are meeting up at the beach close to my house so I get dressed in my black fringe bikini top and my string bikini bottoms, put on a little bit of sunscreen, grab my Ray-Bans, and a towel. I also grab my surfboard and wetsuit just in case the surf is good and I wanna grab a few waves.

Maggie and Taylor said they have some guy friends they want me to meet so I scan the beach until I see a large group of girls and boys. As I come closer I am surprised that I recognize all the faces in the small crowd. Gilinsky, Johnson, Sam and Nate are sitting with Maggie and Taylor. I never thought I would see them again. I first make really long eye contact with Nate before he smiles and says, "Hey Bay how's your head doin?"

"Better now, thanks for helping me out," I said with a smile. Maggie and Taylor gave me quizzical looks and I answered their questions by saying, "I met these boys after I wiped out on my longboard down at the skatepark. They helped me out after my fall." Looking out a the waves I decided to slide on my wetsuit and catch a few. I said,"I'll be back in a bit but the waves are rad right now so I'm gonna go surf." I was bombarded with lots of "see yous" as I ran towards the ocean.

*After surfing*

I ran towards the familair group of people with my surf boarding and as I arrived I pulled off my wetsuit, layed out my towel in between Maggie and Taylor and across from Nate. Nate asked, "How were the waves?"

"Pretty good actually. I think I can get used to these Cali waves," I said with a smile.

"So what brings you to LA, Bay?" Gilinksy asked. Him and Maggie were holding hands so assumed there was something going on there. I will have to question her later.

"College is the 'main' reason but mostly the weather and I just wanna have some fun out here."

"Well we aren't really good at the college part but we can show you a good time that's for sure," Johnson replied with a wink.

I giggled and said, "So are you guys from here or did you move out here?"

"We moved out here from Omaha, Nebraska to work focus on our music," Nate said.

"What kind of music do you guys do?" I ask intrigued by the fact these boys were adding to their hottness by throwing in the singing/rapping factor.

"I sing but the rest of these dumb asses rap," Gilinsky said. Sam, Nate and Johnson shot him daggers but they all ended up laughing it off.

After hours of laying in the sun and listening to rap battles we all decided to pack up our stuff and head home for the day. The boys' car was parked near my house so as I approached my little shack I gave hugs to everyone and promised that we would talk soon. Just as I was about to walk into my house I felt a warm hand grab my arm and turn me around. I immediately recognized Nate as he said nervously said,"We um uh really need to hang out soon, Bay maybe um just the two of us?" He scratched the back of his neck as I replied, "That would be awesome," and gave his cheek a quick peck. With that we both blushed and I watched as he turned around and walked back to the car. I think I can get use to this LA living.
