Last Friday, I had just come back from school and both my parents had left me home alone so they could play indoor hockey and tennis. Since it was winter, they had warned me to stay home once the roads became dangerous because of the snowstorm that we recently had. So, I was incredibly bored and had nothing to do.
We had just moved in the day before, which was Sunday, and I had not really had time to see where everything was. That night, I was sitting in the living room, watching Netflix on my computer, when it died on me. When I looked up to turn on the TV, I noticed a window right next to it, which was odd since it was only on one side of the television.
I looked away, not really paying attention to it, but quickly looked back when I saw a shadow that freakishly looked like a person.
My whole body entirely froze with fright, hoping that if it were indeed a person, that whoever it was, would not notice me. I dialed the cops and stayed completely still as they lazily told me that they were on their way. Once they did, they called me from outside, telling me that there were no footprints outside. They hung up and left immediately, brushing it off as another teenage prank.
Even though they had tried reassuring me, it certainly did not work. As I slowly lowered my cell phone and managed to find the courage to look up, I noticed that the glass was not a window, but indeed some sort of mirror that my parents had bought.
As I looked around the house, I saw not a single trace left from the mystery person who had supposedly been there. I had no idea how long he was there and had absolutely no intentions of finding out. Now did I want to know. So as soon as my parents found out about the incident, we sold the house as soon as possible. Short live right?
