Jefferson Park was about the same as any other high school, really. Of course, as Seth and Thomas walked in, it suddenly seemed much better. Seth's eyes were light and his grin broad as he contemplated seeing his mate for the first time. Thomas, next to him, smirked at his friend's eagerness for what seemed to be only a run-down building.
Every girl in the hallway suddenly straightened as their eyes caught with the "new boys". More than a few ran unconscious hands through their hair, and only one or two could resist from flashing a flirty smile.
"What are our classes, anyway?" Thomas turned to Seth as they reached the front office.
Seth smiled. "They're all with Delilah," he spoke her name in a voice so utterly dreamy that Tom almost gagged. "I got the Alpha to arrange it-I don't even want to know how."
"Right," Tom paused. "Look, don't come on too strong, alright? I know that you've been waiting to meet her for a while and all, but you mean literally nothing at all to her. So be chill."
Seth's smile faded somewhat. "But she'll realize we're meant to be together. We have a bond. She'll want to be with me."
Thomas' eyes rolled... again. "Dude, have you even been paying attention? Almost every girl here wants to be with you."
"Not true. About half seem to want you. God knows why, though..."
Both friends smiled before heading into the office and asking for their schedules.

Delilah kept her head down as she scuttled into the school. As a rule, she tried to avoid all social content, unless it was with someone she absolutely trusted with every fiber in her being. There were only two people she talked to: Ronnie, her friend and practically a brother, and Kelly, her best friend and Ronnie's girl friend.
Kell, while just as shy as she, was also very loud. "Lile!" she screeched, running up to her friend. "There are two new guys-I saw them sign in at the office, but I didn't catch their names. If there was ever a time to get over your annoying shyness, it would be now."
Delilah shot a smile up at her friend before returning her gaze to her tennis shoes. "I would never give up my paranoia for just a boy! Only for you, Kell,"
Kelly glared and dug around in her pockets for something. "Love you, too," She pulled out two hair ties and began to comb her unruly, orange hair back with her fingers. "What's our first class, again?"
"English, then you have geometry while I have algebra, then we've got biology together, then art, and then lunch. Wh-hoo for Monday's,"
Kell wrinkled her nose up, displeased somehow. "Then Phys Ed. Disgusting," She offered her dark-haired friend the remaining hair tie, holding it out next to her face. "You really should tie it up more. I don't know how you lug it all around-you never realize the full weight of all that unnecessary hair until it's gone!"
She waved her shoulder-length, orange curls around tauntingly. Only two weeks ago, Kell had chopped off almost eight full inches of hair, leaving it even curlier than it ever had been before. Luckily, she testified to love it.
"I like my hair long. It serves as a conversation point."
"Who talks to you about that; the mailman or the teachers?"
Delilah rounded a corner, leaned down, and opened her locker, grabbing her books and moving so that Kelly could reach hers (her locker was just above Lile's). "For your information, I have a scintillating social life, thank you very much. Just yesterday, I was at a party. Everyone was there-teachers, mailmen, Britney Spears..."
"Isn't she dead?" asked Kell distractedly, digging for a textbook that probably wasn't there.
"I don't think so... Doesn't she have kids?" Delilah, half out of boredom, half to satisfy her friend, began to put up her hair.
"Hmmm... you can't have a kid and then die?"
"No, I just mean, in some tabloid it mentioned that-"
"Hey," Delilah didn't finish her sentence, instead turning to face the stranger behind her. "I'm Seth... Seth Winter."
~*~
The moment Seth saw her, his face became entirely blank. He felt love for this person he had never even spoken to, and he could only see her. She was perfect. He had to talk to her.
Just before he rushed over, Thomas grabbed his arm tightly. "Seth, be chill." He warned, almost hissing because, otherwise, Seth would never hear him.
Seth didn't bother the respond before walking over. "Hey. I'm Seth... Seth Winter."
"Hi," she paused. "I'm Delilah... What's up?"
Behind her, a red-headed girl was listening in, eyes wide, but Seth didn't notice. "I just-I," he gulped. "What class do you have?" he blurted out. A few feet away, Thomas rolled his eyes and face-palmed.
"English, the algebra. What about you?" Clearly, the girl was beginning to feel awkward. Seth knew it but couldn't help himself; she was so beautiful, so amazing... the way her hair swayed with each slight change of expression, the way her hips swayed oh-so-slightly with each change in tone of her voice, how musical and sweet her voice was...
"Yeah, me, too... How weird, huh? Will you show me the way, please?" Seth's voice, to him, sounded high-pitched and whiny. The angel before him deserved better than that. He deepened it. "I'm just new here," He leaned towards her, his arm against the locker Kelly had just closed.
Kelly rolled her eyes; Delilah widened hers.
"I, uh, have to go. Go ask Kathy over there," she pointed to a blonde girl smacking gum across the hall, her near-golden hair streaked with a resonant red-orange color that vaguely resembled a sunset. "She's got the greatest hair."
Practically running away, holding her books tightly to her chest as if they were a shield, Delilah fast-walked desperately to her first class of the day.
"Excuse her," Kelly fumbled, snatching one of her friend's fallen pencils from the ground. "She's chronically shy."
Seth, shocked, was left alone, his arm frozen above his mate's small, metal locker.
"... What?" Thomas whispered from his view point, coincidentally very near Kathy. Then, shaking his head, he strode over to the heartbroken boy a few feet away. "Stop being so goddamn emotional." He said. "This is only the first time you've spoken; what'd you expect? And, hey, that chick really does have great hair, so that's a plus."

Teen FictionA story that just keeps popping up on Word. Probably won't be finished, and if it is, it'll probably because I just got so annoyed with it I went on a killing spree with the characters. Don't expect too much; it's very bad.
