sarah cameron's first day residing at outer banks began today. right here, right now. it was her first time living alone, because she had just left her grandmother's house, and she was old enough to move out. the blond girl had a bunch of savings in her account, which is why she could afford the house. sarah had arrived at her new estate- all to herself. a sigh escaped her rosy pink lips, as she opened up the door, leaving the house. she pressed the button on her keys, and opened the trunk, unloading the enormous numbers of boxes that contained her belongings.

as she was walking, she turned over to look at the beach by her new home, and saw a blond boy walking around, on the beach. as soon as his gaze met hers, she instantly looked away, and felt her cheeks heat up. she went inside her house, setting down the boxes, and walked over to the sink to splash some water on her face. sarah looked out the window, only to see the blond digging around in her trunk. she wasn't sure if he was trying to steal stuff, but she then continued watching as he brought her stuff in. sarah mustered up the courage and walked back to the door, greeting the boy, acting as if she didn't see what he did. "oh- hi !" sarah greets, with a soft smile, and a small wave. she looked at him, and he was even more beautiful up close. the way his blond hair was messy, and his ocean blue eyes. "hey !" he replied to her, with a bright smile. he seemed friendly enough, but she wasn't sure if he was just being nice because she was new.

"oh-sorry. i notice that you were new, and i just wanted to give you a hand. i'm jj, by the way. jj maybank." he speaks, extending his hand out with a gentle smile. sarah couldn't stop looking at him, but snapped back into reality, extending her hand out. "er, thank you, jj. i'm sarah cameron." she says, as she then introduced herself. "that's a beautiful name, sarah." jj told her, adjusting his cap, then letting go of the girl's hand.

"i thank you for helping, i really do, jj." sarah started as she walked about. "i appreciate it, but you don't have to." she adds, walking back with a large box filled with her kitchen utensils. "are you sure ? cause that trunk seems to be overflowing a bit." he said, raising his eyebrows. "and for the record, princess, i'm actually more than happy to help." he then added, as he looked at the girl. sarah's face flushed, and she smiled softly at the blond. never before had she been called that before. she assumed that he had better plans than to have helped her, but she didn't say anything about it. sarah looked out the window, admiring the view.

"sarah, maybe we could take a break from unpacking, and i could give you a tour of outer banks ?" jj asked her, running his fingers through his hair. sarah gnawed on her bottom lip, and fiddling with her fingers as she thought about it. she thought that it would be nice to have at least a friend in outer banks, and that it would be nice to have a look around. "sure, do you have a car, or we can walk ?" she asked. "oh- i also have two skateboards and a bike if you wanna use those." she adds. jj nods. "sure ! uh, you can take the bike, and i could take the skateboard ?" he suggested. sarah didn't wanna be the one with the bike, since she'd always go ahead the other, since it was a habit.

"maybe we can both take skateboards ? i normally go ahead the other, and i.. don't wanna leave you behind." she says, then letting out a small laugh. jj nodded, and looked up at the girl who stood in front of him. "yes, that sounds like a great idea." he replied to her. sarah smiles softly at jj, and nods as well. "okay, cool ! first, i need a change of clothes since i drove for like what, two days ?" she said, furrowing her eyebrows. "the skateboards are in one of the boxes, i think it's still in the trunk." she said, grabbing one of her bags, and taking out a fresh pair of clothes. "alright, thanks." jj said.

sarah hurried upstairs, and she took a quick shower. she got out a few moments later, thinking about jj. she thought that he was cute, and definitely nice. but she assumed he had a girlfriend for someone who looked that cute, so she stopped her train of thought and shook her head. since the weather here in outer banks were quite warm, sarah decided to put on some shorts, a spaghetti top and tied her hair up in a ponytail, with some baby hairs sticking out. she didn't want to take up jj's time, considering him showing her around. she started wondering: what if jj did this to every new girl who moved to outer banks ? what if he was trying to get in her pants ? sarah had seen too many movies of these happening, and she hoped she wouldn't end up like those characters in the movies she seen. the girl shrugged it off, and walked to a room that she put a basket in earlier, and left her dirty clothes there.

meanwhile, jj was still looking for the two skateboards since sarah had brought a lot of boxes, and he couldn't blame her for it. he knew it was normal for people to bring everything they owned with them to their new residence. a moment passed, and he finally found the two boards and walked back inside, holding the two boards in his hands, waiting for the girl to come back down. sarah had came back down, after applying sunscreen, and smiled back at jj. "oh, cool ! you found them, i was worried that you couldn't find them for a bit." she admits, laughing. jj liked sarah's personality. the pogues here would automatically assume sarah is a kook based on the way she dressed herself, where she lived, and how she appeared. nonetheless, jj actually sort of liked sarah. "so are you ready ?" jj asks her, while adjusting his cap. sarah nodded, and followed jj out the door, as they both got on their skateboards.

"so, where would you like to go first ?" the boy asked her, looking back at her while skating. sarah thought for a moment, and she thought that it would obviously be useful to know where the businesses were so she wouldn't have to stress about it. "i think we could go to some businesses, you know so i don't have to stress about it later." she says, smiling at him. besides everything that was going on, jj was never the one to fall for a girl easily, but sarah- she was different. she seemed like a very nice girl, and very loyal. jj shook his head to himself, attempting to think other thoughts.

the two skated around for a little while more, and by the time they got back, it was completely dark. sarah and jj stopped their boards and picked them up, as jj handed the board back to the girl. "thanks." sarah smiles softly at him. the girl thought that the least she could do was invite him in for dinner, since he spent his day showing her around. "uhm, jj ?" she asks, as she held the boards. jj looked up at her, waiting for her to speak. "would you like to come in for dinner ? we could order take-out if you perfer." she asks him, as they walked to the door, and unlocked the door. "sure, thank you. and you can pick, but i'm guessing you're tired so we could have take out ?" the girl nods and motions for him to come in. and so he walked into her house, sarah closing the door behind them.
