The muffled sound of the rain hitting the earth can be heard inside my room. Through the windows, I saw the sky darkened and the trees were moving violently, as if they were about to fall over.

I disliked the rain, because when it rains, there's thunder. The loud sound of the thunder was a constant reminder I was just a kid Sebastian saved from the streets. The sound scared me because it reminded me of how helpless I was. I didn't remember much, since I was too young, but I remembered sitting in the rain alone, scared of the haunting rumbling sound. Until, as if heaven knew my fear, like an angel he handed me his hand. How ironic that he was a creature far from an angel.

I ran into my closet and entered the hidden room. I tried to overpower the noise of the thunder by putting on noise cancelling headphones and turning on music loudly. That was what I always do since Sebastian weren't here.

I sat on the cloud couch, knees to my chest and my head resting on my knees. I didn't hear anything, not even the sound of my closet opening. I looked up when I feel the presence of Sebastian sat next to me.

He pulled me to his lap and wrapped his arms around me, engulfing me in his warm. I missed this feeling so much. It had been so long that I almost forgot how good this made me felt. All anger suddenly vanished as I wrapped my arms tightly around his neck and buried my face into his built chest. I hated myself for this, I hated how he had this power over me. I hated how I couldn't resist him, I hated how I always ran back into his arms, I hated how I couldn't hate him.

I locked myself up in my room all day, and it was already night time. At one point he knocked on my door, asking me to let him. He knew that he could just come in because he had the master key, but he didn't and I was grateful for that. Maria, the house keeper came by twice to give me food but I refused to touch it. I didn't have the appetite for food, what a surprise.

We sat like that for god knows how long, and I could feel Sebastian hands coming up to my headphones and took them off me. He sat it aside and I looked at him. His large hand cupped my face, his thumb gently caressing my cheek. "You don't need those anymore. I'm here now."

"Only now. You're going to leave again." I didn't speak for so long, when I did my voice came out as groggy.

"I promised, baby. I'm going to stay." All of my emotions, my anger, my sadness all clashed together and I couldn't stop the tears from flowing. I'm not embarrassed to cry in front of him, because only then would he knew how much I missed him, how upset I was, how his presence is needed in my life.

Seb wiped away my tears with his thumbs, "Don't cry, baby. I'm sorry."

The rain finally stopped, "You haven't eaten all day. Come on, let's get you feed."

I stood up and he followed after, he grabbed my wrist and gently tugged me along behind him.

"Can I have ice cream?" I asked, honestly when he was gone I already ate a lot of ice cream but at one point Seb told Devin to stopped me.

"Hmm, after you eat." We walked toward the dining table that were filled with food.

"You already had it made? What if I refused to eat?" I sat on one of the chairs and Seb took a seat opposite of me.

He put a piece of chicken on my plate, "I would force you to eat either way. You need to eat Everlin."

Sebastian didn't need human food but he ate them with me anyway, alongside with blood in a wine glass.

We didn't have any ice cream at home, because dear Devin threw away all of them and was somehow always there to stop me from buying them. Stupid vampires.

I changed into my jeans and black tee, scrambling around my closet to find the black hoodie I stole from Sebastian and wore it over my shirt.

Sebby didn't have to change his attire, a blue jean with a white tee that seems to be showing off all his muscles glory. He was already waiting for me at the end of the staircase. I smiled happily, because finally, ice cream.

We walked side by side toward his car, he opened the door and lean over to put on my seat belt, "You know I can do that myself."

Sebby walked around the car and got in the driver seat, "Hmm, but I wanted to do it for you." He gave me a dazzling smile, my heart, please stop.

Since our place was pretty secluded from the city, it took around 20 minutes to get to the ice cream shop. It was around eight, so only a few people were there.

"Hi, can I get two scoops of chocolate and two scoops of cookie dough, please." I smiled at the cute guy behind the counter in which he gladly returned. Sebastian didn't seem too happy, standing behind me. For one I ordered a lot of ice cream. Sebastian handed his card to the guy with a straight face. He gave me back the receipt, on it had his number on. Before I can properly look at the number, Sebastian snatch the sheet of paper away from me and crumbled it in his hand. I gave him a pointed look.

The guy returned with my ice cream but he was kind of terrified since the beast behind me kept glaring at him. I smiled at him saying a quick thank you before grabbing Sebastian by the wrist who somehow seemed glued to the ground of the ice cream shop.

"Are you jealous?" I said raising my eyebrow as I put the spoon filled with my ice cream inside my mouth. He didn't say anything instead he kept driving. I sighed and put my spoon to his lips, he opened without hesitation.

I feel like our relationship had changed from being adopted siblings to something much more when he returned home this time. I saw him in a different light and I was pretty sure he felt the same.
