When two people are in the same space,it's undoubtedly that they will meet the same people, make friends with the same people. When you meet someone long ago and left them, when they meet once again, they said that you're fated. It's the same with the basketball players from Teiko.

The phantom of the team and the emperor are also fated. Yet, in a different way. They were brought together by fate, who tied them to a girl. A silver maiden. They have met her once. Not together, but individually.

Kuroko was just walking home alone in the pouring rain, tears mixed with rain dropped from his face. He loved basketball, yet he didn't have talent in it. Practises tires him out, yet didn't do him any good. The rest of his team has begun to fall apart, leaving him alone. Even his light, his best friend, Aomine. Him, a shadow, isn't needed.

Walking and walking, avoiding and avoiding. His weak presences that was given by god. A present and a curse. Walking through the rain, he spotted a figure in a distance, towards the hill. He was drawn in, walking towards the hill covered by mist.

By the time he knew what he was doing, he was already lost in the mist. Trees were all he could see. Will I die here? I'm not needed anyway. He gave up and sat on a rock. Just then, the figure from before came into view.

A girl with silver hair and eyes, wearing an off-shoulder black top with a black singlet underneath and black shorts. Looking up at her, he shredded more tears that were quickly dripped from his face due to rain.

"Am I really not needed?" He muttered. The girl just looked at him, unemotionally as tears dripped from her eyes as well, that were also washed off by the heavy rain.

"Darkness and Light exist because of each other. They depend on each other but will never meet. You will never see light and shadow on the same side of a coin." She said. Kuroko mind is in more of a mess now, trying to figure out what she meant.

"Each have its own pros and cons. In darkness, you see light. In light, you see darkness. Covered in darkness, what is your light?" She continued.

Kuroko spend time to think about it as the girl just looked at him. What do he really want, he asked himself.

"My light ... is ... teamwork." He answered confidently.

A faint smile appeared on the girl, "Then walk towards it." She concluded and walked away in a direction. Kuroko stood up to follow her but she already disappeared into the mist. He stopped, looking around for the girl but to no avail. He looked towards the direction where the girl disappeared into, to find ... a light.

He walked towards the light and got out of the hill. The rain let up and the sun shown itself. He continued his way back. That conversation pushed him to not give up on basketball and kept practising.

On the other hand, Akashi was under huge amount of pressure from his father. As a rich young master, he did not have an easy life like how many people thinks. Studies and the way that appear to the society is top priority despite how ill he is.

With his mother's death, his father pressured him more. On the edge of being broken, he went for a walk outside in the middle of the night. He went into an abandoned small converted barn with a fire place, where he usually spend his spare time in to cool his head. This is like his second home, despite being abandoned, he put some of his belongings here.

A book shelve for examples with fictional books with his father didn't really like how he liked fictional things. A table and chair for writing and a small couch where he could rest in. Only a lantern he brought produced a dim light to the room.

The night was cold, he sat on the couch, as he cools his head from unnecessary thoughts of how his father could leave him alone, how his mother wouldn't have died from the drunk driver. He picked out a book from his shelve and opened it, putting the lantern close to him to allow him to read.
