Usually people find some sort of comfort in silence, but then again they also tend to think, that leads to overthinking. And that's exactly whats going on with Jeon Jeongguk who's trying to distract his mind from thinking of the dewy eyes boy, in the disturbing silence.

He kept on assuring himself that once Jimin starts to respect him he will treat him like he normally does and everything will be back to normal. He can't let his men think that a mere boy can walk over him and disrespect him anytime he wants to. He has an image to hold, otherwise the world would be too harsh on him like before. He went to extreme terms just to earn the respect he has now and he wasn't planning to let it go down the drain.

Jimin pov:

In the same lonesome silence Jimin had woken up to find himself sprawled across the floor. The inner battle inside him was making him more agitated as every minute passes by. All of this was too confusing for him. He was told to apologise when he does something wrong but why does this suffocating feeling surround his neck as if warning him not to go near that person.

When ever he thinks of him, only those angry eyes flash in front of him. He wants to be good, he wants Jeongguk to look at him as a person not someone he has to take care of. But every time he tries to get close to him, he's either busy or finds his behaviour disrespectful. He wants to be frank and be able to give him small kisses every time they sit down but the said man is always so stiff and proper that Jimin feels as if he's going to commit a sin.

Maybe... staying quiet will do him good for now?
Maybe he shouldn't interfere with Jeongguk. Just because he brought him back that doesn't mean he has to like him.
He's not even that special to begin with. There's nothing he can even offer or do. Why would Jeongguk even like someone like him when he can have someone far more beautiful and deserving than himself.

♣️
After coming back from his morning Jog, Jeongguk decided to finally allow Jimin to step out and so he asked one of the maid to call him down for breakfast. Maybe he could prepare something for Jimin as a way to bring things back to normal.

The maid after internally scoffing made her way upstairs towards Jimins room. The key was hanging outside the room which she used to unlock the door.

Jimin immediately looked up thinking it was Jeongguk who came to get him but he was wrong. In front of him was the rude maid who always glares at him and makes him feel uncomfortable.

"The Boss asked me to tell you that you can come down for breakfast- although you don't deserve that, especially after how you behaved last time" The maid blurted out as she glared down at Jimin.

"You're wrong"

"Oh honey im not. You're no one special and after how you behaved yesterday im surprised you're still even here. If it was someone else he would have been thrown out."

"B-but Gguk would never throw me out"

"Oh darling grow up. The only reason you're still here is because of the promise he made with your dead mother. He doesn't like when people talk much or throw themselves on to him like you do. He wouldn't even like someone like you so its better to stay quiet and enjoy while it last. Now cmon I don't have much time" The maid smirked once she saw the defeating look on Jimins face, followed by fresh tears.

Hearing the truth from someone else hurts more. It was all finally getting to him. After looking how Jeongguk locked him up, how he yells at him over small mistakes and what he said last night he knows he's not special.

Something broke inside of him and he felt as if the walls were closing on to him. The colours were bleaching away and all he could feel was numbness. He didn't feel like doing anything or even thinking. He felt like a lifeless doll just zoning out. The fear had completely eaten him out and he just found one aim, to stay inside the house.
